Default Pinched Nerve during excercise in gym

Dear Doc's,

I have a friend who is sufferring with a piched nerve since 3 weeks.
He was doing an excercise in the gym and all off a sudden he had piched a nerve or something near his shoulder. So he started getting this shooting pain with electric like shocks all the way from his left hand arm to his finger tips. occationally he gets inflamation as well with severe pain.
He went to the doctor and they had taken some x-rays and then said that he had pinched a nerve or so and gave some medicines to take and if it dosent go away after 6-8 weeks then to come back for an MRI or so.

My question is, is there a good homeopathy medicines that work wonders for these kind of symptoms. I have seen some threads in this forum, suggesting Hypericum and Rhus Tox on different occations. Well medicine is better and what potency to consume.

I have access to the xrays etc, if one wants to look at em, I can scan and post on the internet for reference and also the medicine names that he is using for any reference.

Please do shed some light and suggest a suitable medicine for my friend to get better sooner.

Thanks and Best Regards

Default Pinched nerve

This diagnosis is often wrong.
When there is inflammation of a nerve sheath the sheath expands outwards and does not normally create a problem . However when the sheath also expands on the inner surface you get the good old "pinched nerve" .
Normally the problem is due to inflammation , That happens after the application of antibiotics for any problem, They get rid of the inflammation where it is localised - yes. But they disperse that inflammation around the body and you get "pinched nerves".
IF this is the case you need a remedy that will bring back the inflammation at its original site , and cure it - along with the "pinched nerve". This is Classical Homeopathy?.
