As well, I am interested in authors that deal specifically with aspects of clairvoyance in the Materia Medica. I like Catherine R. Coulter a lot, but she really only touches on those issues. Many thanks, Alex |

Hahnemann made the same point at some place in his writings [ about clearing the asylums] . My personal opinion is that any psychiatric medic that uses pharmaceutical drugs to deal with mental problems is himself crazed , and lazy to boot . The patient should be treated psychologically - even if that is hard work.
Halcion , the sleeping pill that caused daughters to shoot their mothers , men to shoot their best friends , is an instance of the ill effects of psychotropic drugs. Pineal 10m is a remedy that seems to increase clairvoyance . |

But even Hahnemann couldn't deal with everyone. I think somewhere along the lines he famously recieved something like 1000 guilders for getting the psychosis of some nobelman (Klockenbring) under control, but at another point ended up locked up in some castle for nine months with his family and another nut case that ha absolutely couldn't cure.
As far as the best methods for dealing with psychiatric problems from an allopathic perspective, I would agree that things would probably be improved by more psychology and less drugs, but we normally only get the patients as they come to us, after they've been through the standard system, so we used to experiencing and trying to fix the results of negligence somewhere in the machine. In all fairness though, there is another aspect, and that is that some patients are truly manic/bipolar/psychotic, and it is questionable if they can be reached by psychology alone. The antipsychotic drugs and mood stabiblizers seem to do little in the way of long term cure. The question is whether it is possible to restore their balance with homeopathy. |

I think if a good similimum is found, it can certainly help. But would need high potency and frequent repetiton, even 2-3 times a day during symptomatic periods.
The problem then is to find the right, central similimum. these cases are always difficult and require great talent and insight on the part of the practitioner to recognize the homeopathic similimum. I don't think you'll find what you are looking for in your first post. Also You could look under the rubric Clarivoyance for the remedies, but its the whole picture that finally counts in the choice of a remedy. I think you can read recent books by people like Ian Scholten, Rajan sankaran who bring out the psychological eccentricities of remedies (and their symptoms in the MAteria MEdica) and hence make them easier to recongnize in mentally ill patients. Having said that - often there are physical general characterisitcs that may actually guide one to the accurate similimum. See this thread: http://www.otherhealth.com/showthread.php?t=3122
