Can anyone suggest a remedy for very bad heartburn and indigestion. I have been suffering with very bad stomach pains and heartburn/indigestion since Christmas Night and I can honestly say it is not with over-indulging. I am having and have had to watch what I eat over the holidays. Natural yoghurt helps for a while but not with the heartburn - everything I am eating is a nightmare at the moment. Also my stomach is very bloated - no sickness or diorrea. I take B Complex - could that cause the bloated stomach. Very bloated and uncomfortable. Any help to quickly get rid of this will be appreciated. |

If you're adamant about not taking "regular" medicine (and I try to take as little as possible myself), there are several ways, largely regarding diet: - Minimize spicy foods (obviously) - Cut down on alcohol (this really helped for me) - Cut down on coffee (likewise) - Less fruit/fruit juices (within reason) - More veggies, breads (love them carbs) Those help generally...I've found that a good "antacid" for a specific attack is a plain piece of bread. Good acid absorber. [Moderator comments: Bigred - You've made your position clear and are in no way qualified to give medical advice here. Passkey gave you some good suggestions.
If your case is due to overindulgance and if excessive eructations are there carb veg is a good remedy. If burning is your main problem, you can think of Acid sulph, Nat phos etc.

The stomach is not with over-indulging - I eat very healthy i.e. no rubbish/junk foods so when I do suffer with bad stomach it is very unusual. At the moment it is a "cramp" sort of feeling - or like a knife sticking in and twisting - I am wondering could it be IBS?

Try Mag.Phos 6x, 4 tablets dissolved in half cup of warm water.
You can repeat it every 15 minutes until get you relief, and taper off gradually, once relief sets in. This you can try along with other homeopathic medicines,if you already started on Carboveg/Lycopodium. Post feedback. Murthy |

Hi
Carbo veg and lyco seem to match my symptoms - interested in Lycopodium as I am convinced somewhere inside me I have candida - diagnosed last year but only by a Vega machine test, however, I do wonder if it is a "yeast" thing - seem to suffer a lot of candida symptoms as well as re-occurring thrush infections so possibly there is a connection. |
