Default Hompath Classic ver 8.0 Premium

Can anyone who uses this software give their opinion of it, please?

I'm considering buying some software and the main thing I want is to have access to a good library of homeopathic books on my computer. And a good search engine that will allow me to access whatever I'm looking for. I noticed that Hompath Classic 8.0 Premium has 300 books.

I looked to see which books are included - it seems like a pretty good list.
However, Hahnemann's MM Pura seem NOT to be included! Does anyone know if it is - and I just missed it? I have this book in hardcopy, but it would be helpful if the software I were to buy included this book.

Also, Boenninghausen's Therapeutic Pocketbook is listed as being included in Classic 8 Premium. However, the edition/publish date is not mentioned. Perhaps someone who has the software can tell if the edition of each book is contained with the software? E.g. Boenninghausen's Therapeutic Pocketbook - 'version X, published in 18XX'?

Thanks and Happy New Year!
Lisa

Thanks Murthy.

Within the software it doesn't say which editon of the Therapeutic Pockebook?

How long have you been using the software? Can you tell a bit about what you think of it?

Thanks
Lisa

Lisa

The version info is not available even within the software.

I have been using it since the last 2 years, and I find it convenient. However I can't compare it with other softwares,as I never tried any of the others like Radar,Cara etc.

dear lisa,

the best opinion is what we get to know ourselves after testing and trying different options.

I am sure that if anyone did that in the field of homeo softwares - his final choice would be a radar package that suits his requirement and budget.

I agree with Dr. Manish. Radar is fantastic. Also has Boenninghausen's 1846 available along with many other modules/choices. Combined with the EH package with over 700 books....well, it's hard to to top. The people (here in the US, don't know about elsewhere) are wonderful to deal with and provide a terrific, supportive, active web site.

I also have MacRep Pro with RefWorks. The graphics are marvelous....well, actually the entire program is. I've found a number of errors in it, however. Sometimes feel the need to pull out the hard copies of books like Hering's GS to check, finding entire sections missing or in the wrong section. Also found one must be careful how rubrics are searched as many books are overlooked if not careful how worded. Was very upset to find that but the MacRep people seemed agitated that I'd bothered them with it, though they said they did see the error and hadn't known of it before. Advised I could buy the next version which would be corrected. It is not yet out.

MacRep does not have but the Boger-Boenninghausen. They offer little on their web site and are not as pro-active (or nice!) as the WholeHealthNow folks.
