Default Do I need an antidote?

Hi everybody!
I'm new here, so would like to send a Hello to everyone. : )
Well, here's what I'm dealing with:
I've been perscribed Nat Nur 30 - 3 pellets 2x a day for 12 days. Right on the second day I started feeling terribly depressed and thought noone loved me and everybody is taking advantage of me. This feeling pretty much continued and I kept getting more bitter, cynical and inwardly upset and angry with everybody.
Then yesterday, I fought with my husband and I totally crumbled - I felt my addrenaline rushing, I started shaking, got dizzy and felt all my defences were undermined. I did feel this way a couple of years ago, but not for a very long time. Since then I learned to shake things off, so naturally I was surprised these feelings are back!
I don't like to cry and I rarely do, but for some reason, my practitioner thought I should be able to cry. I have to say I was happier before. Today I had tears coming to my eyes at work and I really don't like to act out like that.
But then I spoke to a health store person and she said some people can react emotionally to remedies. Somehow, after talking about my symptoms I started feeling better.
Till today afternoon the symptoms were starting to get unbearable, but I will see how I'll feel tomorrow. If I don't get better, do you think I should take an antidote?
Thanks

If you feel uncomfortable after taking the medicine, particularly on emotional level, better stop the medicine, and wait for a few days. The effects will wear off over a period of time.

Antidoting with another homeopathic is not recommended, and not needed.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply. Why is it not recommended to antidote? How long does the wearing off period last in general? I heard Nat Mur is a long acting remedy - it can act up to a few years, so I got worried that the bad effects would last quite long too.

You are having Nat.Mur symptoms, which means that the medicine is close to you and hence you will get much benefit,if you let it act, without disturbance.

The aggravations which you are feeling are temporary, and they will go away on their own.To antidote a medicine,if at all required, the best method is to choose another medicine ,taking all the" present symptoms" afresh.

I suggest you wait atleat for a month, before thinking of antidoting.

Thanks, that makes it more clear. I also started suffering from some bad taste in the mouth (hard to describe the taste, but perhaps bitter) and gasiness. Are these also Nat Mur symptoms and do you think these will eventually go away?

Yes.Nat.Mur has got loss of taste and flatulence(gas) in its pathogenesis. But,all the symptoms you have may not be due to the medicine.

Suppose, you had a very spicy and highly seasoned food, these symptoms may occur.

You took Nat.M in very low potencies, and that too for a few days only.It is surprising that you have these aggravations.May be you are too sensitive to Nat.M.

Anyway, stop worrying. You will be better soon.

Well, I took it for 12 days twice a day. somebody told me that's quite a lot. But I think since I stopped the gassiness has gotten better and the bad taste also slightly, so I'll just wait and see. Thanks
Have a happy New Year and my condolences if you (and even if you did not) loose anybody in the catastrophy you guys had there.
May God be with You

Good to hear that you are improving.

The tragedy is terrible, though it didn't affect me personally. Thanks for your concern.

Wish you a happy new year.

Default nat mur reply

hello
was wondering why so may remedies everyday?
is this the prescription of a homeopath or a 'health food store clerk'?
please be carefull, and another thing to mention each time you take the 'same' remedy with the same potency it is almost somewhat useless, better to succuss each time to bump'up' the potency with each sip of remedy (if its disolved in water that is).
i agree with the previous comment, perhaps wait and see...stop taking nat mur for now and let your body work through its healing paths before intervention takes a toll.
in my expierence the first time anyone takes a remedy there is always somewhat of an aggravation on some level, this is probably a 'good' sign. shows it's working, but perhaps a bit too harsh too quickly. This is why i asked why so many remedy's each day. Normally i give out only one #10 sized poppyseed pellet disolved in a glass of water. that is it.....wait and see..........
