WElcome Dr. Asad at otherhealth forum.

If you are real Asad, then let me inform my honourable members that You are the son of brave doctor parvez Qureshi who have lot of services for homeopathy in Pakistan. Dr. Pervez Akhtar Qureshi also remained president of NCH. Its very nice to see you here because we need highly educated people like you.

Now come to the point. cerebral atrophy is complicated state. As for as damaged cells are concerned we can't do anything but we can support other living cells with proper homeopathic treatment. For this purpose, the child should be in under proper care and professional classical homeopath. Baryta carb is specific remedy for this purpose but not the proper remedy unless you take full case of the patient.

For suggestion we need to know the mental state of the patient?
How is the reflaxes?
How is the mood?
Daily activities?
Impaired judgement?
Knawing or speech problem?
Body movement?
body shape or any weakness?

The best solution is to take the baby to Dr. Ijaz in Rawalpindi.

In a function, Dr. Abdul Saboor was invited. He is the man who observed Dr. Kashi Ram (Writer of famous kashi ram materia medica in urdu in three volumes) in his clinic india. Dr. Abdul Saboor said, in the cases like this you must see the history in parents. He said, for chronic cases see the history in parents and for acute cases see the children of that person. For this also, we have to take interview of the mother and father. Dr. Abdul Rehman always say, if you want from me to suggest a remedy then always come with your mother.

How the mother of baby passed her pregnancy period? This question is paramount importance in determing a good remedy.

Pay my salam to your father because I also did DHMS from Rawalpindi.

Sorry to hear about baby cerebral malfunctioning case. I would agree with Dr. Rasheed for specifics or the most important we have seen are Baryta carb, helleborus, STram, Bell and calc phos kali phos etc.

In my experience apocynum has the property to stop the progress of damaging of cells very effectively. Another good remedy is cicuta, carbo veg, oxygenum and kali mure. These remedies increase the flow of oxygen in brain cells.

The best choice is to put patient under observation under a qualified homeopaths as stated by respected dr rasheed. This is long term treatment and needs four to six months or more.

That's very good going kausar. I was reading an article in which the writer given reference of Alexandar L Blackwood book and greatly appreciated the rule of Acidum Oxalicum in cerebral complaints. The writer said, if the baby does not hold his head upright due to malfunctioning of the brain tissues then oxlic Ac in 6x can play that rule which others can't.

Many thanks for your compliments and taking keen interest. It's my great honour to meet and join such a experienced familyof Homoeopaths. Actually that boy is the grandson of Dr. Parvez Akhter Qureshi and my son. His name is Hassan Parvez.

Following is the history of Hassan Parvez:

Before Baryta C. he was constipated now he is occassionaly constipated
Knotted green stool,
Congestion in chest,
Doesn't recognised any voice, unless spoken in front of his face,
Squint right eye,
Diminished Reflexes,
Always wants to keep in lap and walking,
Cannot hold his head,
Cannot Sit,
No teething yet,
Viscid salivation,
Head retracts backward,
Slight ammalurtaed while sleeps on bally.

During pregnancy mother was given only homeopathic medicines like Alfalfa Tonic, Kali Phos 6x, Five Phos 6x, Dilan and Lori (Homeopathic Relaxant and Antidepressant),Diet was normal as for pregnant women. 10 days before delivery there was hypertension and controlled on the same moment with Dilan and Lori.

Cerebral Atrophy dignosed through CT Scanning. Following is the report:
-Prominent sylvianfissures, sulci and gyri noted.
-Gray and white matter is well differentiated.
-No focal lesion seen.
-No evidence of intracerebral, sub dural/extra dural bleed.
-No midline shift observed
-The posterior fossa shows prominent cisterna magna.
-Ventricles are moderately dilated.
-In view sinuses are clear.

Awaiting for your precious comments.

Thanks

Dear Dr. Asad Qureshi,

I am extreemly sorry to hear about this news but don't giveup and face the problem with care. Allah is with you!.

Tell me is this your first son?

Did you marry in family? Your wife is your cousin?

In the cases like that its very difficult to find out exact ruberics on which you want to base your prescription. Mostly clinical experience plays an important part. Just like we have seen good result with cocculus 6c, 30c.

My experience shows that most of the baby remains in somewhat unconscious state. Most shows tendency to fall over; falling sideways; remains in lie position, cannot hold head up, back weakness; Gen weakness (tired feeling, in spine) neck is prominent ; weakness of lower limbs; ;anaemic in embroy stage and after delivery was observed; mostly iron deficiency - Skin appearance greenish yellow. I don't know whether these applies in your patient case or not but I got good result with cocculus indicus

Hello Asad,

This case is moving toward cham, puls and opium

Cham has unable to hold head up, head falling backward, carried desired to be, impaired hearing (listen loud), squint eye, dim vision, scrof head, delay denitation, inactivity of rectum due to spinal cord affection result in mild constipation, when stool accumulates in rectum then it expels due heaviness and not due to natural urge which makes stool difficult to pass (you are calling it constipation)

Confirm cham after reading more from materia medica... I hope this will help you....

Hi Asad,

Thanks for your friendship comments.

I agree with Dr. Sheikh. But would like to add that A nosode of tuberculinum 200 a dose stat would have been a good impact before the start of cham or other indicated remedies like belladonna etc.

Visit this link for more information. Also study bell 30. High dose should be use with care like Tub 200 etc.

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/r.php/Cham
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/r.php/Bell.

Also compare opium. if your wife suffered with pregnancy problems. Because opium is very good remedy.

take note---child 10 months-no teething
Always wants to keep in lap and walking
Slight ammalurtaed while sleeps on bally
head size (larger than thought should be)

these are indications for calc-c/calc-p
--the need to held is more calc-p--if emotional trauma occur during pregnancy or traumatic birthing-- -maybe -belladonna ....more like malnutrution of mother envolved also...yet maybe arnica depending (but likened to be held-unlike arnica)

bar-c does not fit this--no unnecessary remedy dosing..

ceasraean birth?natural birth?forceps used?

what exact remedies involved with ".. Homoeopathic Relaxant and Antidepressant..." ?how often taken? please explain --why the need of antidepressant....what symptoms mother exhibit justify this?

what is meant by "...no mother fed since birth.." hasnt been breastfed?

what medicines mother use before pregnancy?was pregnancy planned?what state of mother's health prior to pregnancy?what immunizations given to mother prior to -or during pregnancy?how many pregnacies in mother's health history? abortions?miscarriages?

how often cry?what things are associated with the crying?

what are the exact sleeping characteristics?

mother experience any extra-ordinary emotion during pregnancy/labour/birthing? fear?joy?fright?grief?bad news?..etc

mother ever been treated for any venereal diseases in health history?when?
