Default Osteo Arthritis

My wife, 69 years old has been suffering from Osteo Arthritis for the last 8 years. This problem is familial and her two sisters also suffer from the same problem. I have treated her with a succession of remedies throughout the years --- Rhus Tox 30, Ruta 30, Thuja 30, Arnica 6, Apis 6, Kali Phos 6x, Fer Phos 6x but with no permanent relief.

The problem she has is that her knees hurt when walking especially when climbing and going down stairs and recently there has been some swelling in one knee which did not react to the Apis. Apart from the pain which she has when walking she feels that it is the swelling that is causing the pain and stiffness in one knee. The only relief she has is when she takes Voltaren 50mg when the pain is relieved and the swelling is also reduced if this drug is taken twice daily for about 3 days. She is generally in good health but is unable to exercise because of her knees.

She is 80kg., 5ft 5in tall and was diagnosed with nodules in her thyroid but no surgery was recommended as the tests were normal.

I wonder if anyone can think of any other remedy to help her problem.

HI Mr. Dr Livera,
The obvious answer to this is what we've been talking about to you all this time! The thrust of the classical method of homeopathy.
Anytime you need help you can contact one of us.
Warm regards,

Default osteo arthritis

Osteo arthritis normally implies that there is deformation of the bone [osteo]
Other arthritis is down to inflammation . One thing that seperates Rhus Tox from Bryonia in such cases is that Rhus gets better the more it moves - while Bryonia gets worse the more it moves .
Other remedies to consider are Pulsatilla and Medorrhinum
