This is my first post here, so please excuse me if I've posted this in the wrong forum.
I've just received word that the children at our church and church's daycare are being diagnosed with HF&M. It has an incubation period of 21 days. The disease presents with severe ulcers in the mouth and fever. Practically all the children have been exposed to one child with it or have played in the nursery/playrooms during church and this is VBS week, so I'm sure there's more exposure than anyone realizes.
I can not find any info in my reference books at home.
My question: what shall I give my kids as a preventative? and if they do present with the symptoms, what should I have in my remedy box to give them? Thanks, Gillie

I have treated this disease in families and have found that the most effective remedies have been Rhus Tox andNat Mur. It will depend on how it presents in the indvidual. The best preventitave treatment is a constitutional remedy as this make you less susceptible to diseases. If you have a local classical homeopath this could be a good time to book a visit!!

BTW the correct name for this is Coxsackie disease.

gillie is this possible for you to show us the pictures of your patients. specially effected parts. I would like to see them online. Merc Sol is great remedy. Allopathically the disease is different with FMT foot and mouth (in animal) but it is same in homeopathy as compared to homeopathic medicines.
