Question Converting liquid remedies to tablets?

I am only able to get liquid homeopathic remedies locally, but would really like to have tablets for their convenience (especially while travelling). Is there any way to "convert" them? For example, if I can obtain lactose tablets, can I add a few drops of the liquid remedies? How would I go about doing this?

That's actually how the dry potencies are made. I would recommend you get the pellets rather than the tablets because they are easier to work with at home. The tablets need to be sprayed and dried. The directions for the pellets is given here. Decide what size pellets you want. #10s are the tiny granules, #20s are meduim, #40 are large, and some pharmacies have them in between. Order the blanks from any homeopathic pharmacy. Order some amber bottles in whatever size you want - just make sure that you don't decide you like the large pellets and then order small bottles. You want to make sure the pellets can be easily dispensed from the bottle. Also, make sure you have some labels that you can write the remedy and potency on and apply to the bottles. Put the blanks in the bottles. Put about a teaspoon full of liquid remedy in and swish it around so the liquid is distributed well. That's it. You're set to go!

There is a difference between Liquid Remedies and Medicating Potencies. The main difference is the amount of alcohol in them!! With a Medicating Potency that is 90% alcohol you can use say 4 drops to 10g of pillules but with a liquid potency this would cause the pillules to lump togetherand you won't be able to get them out of the bottle. A 10 g bottle of Liquid remedy is made with 2 drops of medicating potency 2 drops of alcohol and the rest is water!!
I suggest you get your pilules and experiment. One way may be to put 1 drop of the liquid in your bottle first, swish it around the glass walls and then add the pillules.

While Ricki is correct about the composition of the liquid remedy vs the liquid used to make the remedy, in practice I haven't found that to be a problem. You may need to experiment, but using pellets instead of tablets will help with the problem of disolving.

On a side note, my doctor/teacher used to replentish his supply of remedies by taking a nearly empty bottle, adding sac lac pellets and a few drops of alcohol and succussing a few times. I'm still using many of his old remedies that had been plussed in this way numerous times. He got many of his remedies from his father, so some of the 'starter' is over 100 years old and still going strong.

Kent stated that the quantity of the remedy doesn't matter. I think to some extent that is true, particularly when we are talking about the above processes.
