Default jaw pain--please help

Hello,

I have been suffering from severe TMJ pain after a whiplash accident. I have tried many therapies to no avail. Can homeopathy treat TMJ/muscle spasm pain successfully? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you!

Kelly

With whip lash, I've found the best therapy to be osteopathic manipulation.

Hi Kelly,
Yes the right remedy can work wonders. It is based on a complete history and not just the history of whiplash injury.
If you haven't tried homeoapthy yet, try to see a well reccomended classical homeopath and have a good similimum prescribed for you.
Warm regards,
doctorleela

DoctorLeela,

Thank you for your response. Can homeopathy help, even if structural damage has taken place as a result of so much muscle spasming in the area? I have trismus now (inability to open my mouth much). I am so hoping homeopathy will help me. Thank you for your help.

Best regards,
Kelly

Shirley,

I have had osteopathic manipulation on my neck, but it seems to aggravate the situation/make things worse. I have never actually had my jaws manipulated--do you have any experience with that?

Thank you,
Kelly

Make sure the osteopath does cranial sacral work. The neck shouldn't be directly manipulated. There are remedies that will help with the pain and healing, but often only one seesion with an osteopath will set things right. If you have had that to no benefit then I would definitely try homeopathy.

HI KElly,
What sort of structural damage has taken place?
PAin and muscle spasm can be reversed as well as the smoother functioning of the jaw.
Hope this helps.

DoctorLeela,

The disc appeared to be slightly displaced after a car accident. I am hoping, however, that if I can get the muscles to stop spasming, the disc will resume its natural position; that's what I meant by structural damage. I am encouraged that homeopathy can help with the spasming.

Thanks for your help,
Kelly
