Does anyone know what this is?
Severe itching on right hand side of my face after shaving. Must scratch vigourously, blands swollen very much. Lumps all over my neck and head, < touch, throbbing, stiff neck etc. An infection from an ingrown hair??
Severe acne on the right hand side of face too?

All severe, had for one week, shaving possibly the cause?

There really is not enough information to tell what's happening here.
Do you mean that your glands are swollen?

To really figure out what this is, you have to be examined in person...by a homeopath or by a doctor who can figure out what's going on. There's just too little to go on.

Yes sorry there wasnt much info earlier.

Basically, the problem started as an itch on my face, right side, on my jaw line. I kept getting bouts of serious itching in which i had to scratch vigorously, which relieved for a little time, but really made the problem worse to the extent that it was bleeding.
Next day, the gland under my chin was huge! Every hour it was getting bigger. Also, a gland come up on my neck right side, below ear area. These kept getting bigger and my neck started to get a little stiff.
Went to the Dr, prescribes antibiotics 4 times daily, advised me not to drink alcohol etc. He said could be caused by an ingrown hair or where i kept scratching my face (BUT HAD TO SCRATCH!)

Next morning, woke in abolute agony, stiff neck, couldnt move. (started Hep Sulph) not allopathic drugs...errrrrrrr!
Next day, neck worse, glands in neck getting bigger, throbbing, sore, < touch, bending forward, movement etc.

Over the next few days, lumps coming out all over my neck, back of neck, behind ears, back of head-in total possibly had 15! Also, face VERY itchy, absolutely horrible! Swollen right side of face and neck, throbbing, aching, as if alive!! (started Silica 30)

I was in a right state, wanted to cut the right side of my face off!
The pain from my glands which was constant, entended to my right ear and gave me a headache.

Over the next couple of days, swelling of face going down, then SEVERE acne, spots, puss, replaced it.

The left side of my face was fine, the right side, absolutely shoking-a different person.

If it was an infection, it was horrendous! I have never experienced anything like it.

Today (Fri 4th): spots clearing up, drying up, swelling still decreasing, lumps in neck still a little sore but getting smaller as are the ones behind my ears.

I shall speak to my Homeopath on Monday, but have you seen this before?

You've most probably had a bacterial infection (most commonly Staphylococcus or a strain resistant to antibiotics) on the right side of yoru face that casued the pain, swelling (cellulitis) and enlarged glands that were helping fight the infection. that is why Hepar and Sil worked well.

I doubt it is sycosis barbae - which is a fungal infection and rarely deveops and clears up in an acute phase.

I`m nearly back to normal now, the swelling, rash/spots has gone completely down, another day and back to full fitness i reckon.

Although, i still have a few lumps at the back of my neck that are a little sore, but getting smaller.

Its a good testimony to know that you persisted with homeopathic treatment with all this happenning. And then everything was completely resolved with patience and good prescribing.

We'd have the allopaths screaming "beware of meningitis" and other complications as possiblities. Most often they force the fright into our patients who then keep trying antibiotic after antibiotic ....

Through out my recent acute, i was in absolute agony. But i can assure everyone that i didnt doubt the remedies once. There are many people im sure that in my state may have taken something allopathic. I avoid it at all costs unless absolutely necessary. To be honest, i dont know lots of remedies, i find it hard to remember them unless i have taken them for my own use, but i went along with my gut instinct on this one. I was taking Hep-Sulph for a few doses, then something said Silica to me. I read it up and it seemed to fit nicely at that point.

All i can say is, i was determined to get better, stayed positive because i knew that i would get over it soon, and i had faith in the remedies.
