Hi,

Several weeks ago I asked this board whether they thought an intercurrent remedy given me might have been the wrong one since I developed a new and alarming symptom as a result of it. Sreichtman recommended that I look at Vithoulka' charts in Science of Homeopathy and I found that chart VIII was the exact description. It has now been 11 weeks with this horribly annoying new symptom, and the only relief, temporary - say for five days, came when my homeopath gave me one dose of a mystery remedy she said would attack directly the new symptom. Ten days after taking it, the symptom subsided by 80%, then came right back with full force. She redosed me a few days ago with same mystery stuff and the symptoms are subsiding again but everything I eat (only healthy moderate amounts - I do not overeat at all, in fact I don't have much of an appetite) goes to my belly and I feel like the snake that swallowed a rabbit. Nothing does up around my waist and I am utterly baffled. The weight problem started after the first mystery remedy dose.

I've asked my homeopathy several times what was going on, but she never gives me a satisfactory answer. I'm switching to a new homeopath but in the meantime, if anybody could help me understand what's happening, I'd really appreciate it.

Dear Alice
In general, it seems, that things did not take a curative dirrection.
Without detailed information we cannot answer the question WHY.
On the other hand, having an answer does not make a cure either, so the best thing is to find a better remedy for the now present situation.

Thank you Hans. This BB isn't the right place for me to elaborate (and bore all to death) but I do appreciate the clarity you gave that the remedy was not moving in a curative direction. I shall be switching practioners next month.
