Dorothy, carcinosin is a great remedy but it must fit the case to be of any use to you. Also, it is often noted in materia medicas that carcinosin is not much use if actual cancer is present. That may or may not be true in every case, but, bottom line is that it has to fit the case. One doesn't choose a "cancer" nosode just because one is diagnosed with cancer. That is not homeopathy but something proven to be little more than guesswork, isopathy.
If you're really interested in homeoapthic treatment, you should seek out a qualified homeopath. Dr. Ramakrishnan states very clearly in his book that he isn't writing so that people can "self-prescribe". He is writing so that skilled, qualified, and experienced homeopaths who take a full case and engage in full case management with each patient can use some of his methods to the benefit of their patients. He is very clear about that important aspect: the ongoing casetaking and casemanagement of a qualified and experienced practitioner. Please keep in mind, too, that Dr. Ramakrishnan's methods may not be applicable to your situation: he has done some wonderful work in the treatment of cancer, a disease homeopaths are not allowed to treat in most cases (except, if the homeopath also treats animals, where it proves to be very easy to treat homeopathically). His work gives a lot of homeopaths some idea about what to expect while treating patients who've also undergone conventional care options: but it is by no means the only method. In many cases, quite possibly as in your own, the classical, one remedy at a time, minimum dose method, works the best. But seek out the care of a qualified homeopath.
I hope you take the time to seek out this kind of care for yourself: there is no reason to shortchange yourself with crazy attempts at isopathy and do-it-yourself care.
