Hello Albert,

Some copied information for Leprocy.

Effected =the peripheral nerves, skin and mucous membranes

decreased sensation/numbness or tingling/ to touch, heat, or pain or or absent sensation in the hands and arms, or feet and legs

muscle weakness resulting in signs such as foot drop (the toe drags when the foot is lifted to take a step)

Tuberculoid Leprosy - one or a few hypopigmented, hypoesthetic macules with well defined borders. The muscles in the body become weak and fatigued

Lepromatou Leprosy - symmetric skin nodules, loss of hair, loss of skin appendages. (severe) little or no pain accompanies the rash. The rash will resemble a large tinea eruption.

Borderline Leprosy -symptoms between TB Leprosy and Lepromatous Leprosy. Symptoms may be worse or better. Eruptions will have a border with normal skin locked in the middle

We know we need to individulize to treat;but??

Some of those are interesting.

Will try to find time to look them up in the repertory to see if the same or some of the same medicines are mutually listed in those rubrics and the main one.

Thank you very much.

Of course, what makes leprocy so important in homeopthic theory is that it was one of the skin diseases Hahnemann suggested might be the original source of psora, which of course turned out to be a failed theory even though perfectly logical given that all other diseases distinctly identifiable were observed to originate in infection.

I want to share with you all why I have an interest in this, for it's a bit more than academic and really quite scary for which I want us to be prepared if we can be.

The issues revolving around Iraq's weapons of mass destruction included an apparently little known and hidden apprehension on the part of US scientists that the Iraqis were probably engaged in attempting to culture pneumonic plague with the several tons of culture medium that has never been found.

The reasons for this were that smallpox is very difficult to culture but plague is not, smallpox is very scarse but plague is not, and airborn plague is much more contagious than smallpox.

So I once read up on it, but I never got this far with becoming familiar with its symptoms and drugs.

This seems an appropriate time to do so.

Good with the Synthesis additions.

I think that likely covers it.

Thank you everyone.

Let us hope we do not need this collection of symptoms and their drugs but remember it's here if we do.
