In the original advertisement for the Kunzli et al. translation of the ORGANON, which appeared in every issue of HOMEOTHERAPY; JOURNAL OF CLASSICAL HOMEOPATHY after it was released by The Hahnemann Foundation, we read this succinct statement about its importance:

"...this work...has until now never been integrally translated into English."

Some of Ward's comments about his, Boericke and Haehl's acquisition of the manuscript for the Sixth Edition of the ORGANON OF MEDICINE, which I inserted in the section on Schmidt's report, are to be found in THE HOMEOPATHIC HERITAGE (Delhi), Vol. 2, No. 8, August, 1977, pp. 351-52, originally from . . .

[will come back with that detail].

Although his work on "sensations as if" is irreplacably important and a treasure I have many times thanked him for, here's a foolish remark by Ward that shows his opinion of what Hahnemannians think is a horrible translation that he and Boericke should not have permitted to go into circulation:

The translation is "a masterful work..."

Not hardly, pal!

But he seems to have discerned the source of the problem:

"Hahnemann's German as expressed was much involved, requiring unusual ability in the translation."

Very true, so we wonder why they spent so much money acquiring it but apparently none on the translation.

No matter now as part of history, this is simply part of the record.

Edited from paragraph 25 of my fourth posting above: "I don’t know why it seems to [so] difficult for homeopaths to be scholarly..."
