Do any of you have any advice for a soon-to-be mother who is terrified of the overwhelming amount, and frequency of immunizations required for infants? Searching for natural options, or wondering what happens if I refuse or delay immunizations until at least age 3? Please assist. Many thanks.

I have a 2 months old daughter already undergoing the immunizations. There is a lot of debate about whether or not to have the immunizations.

I was also confused about this whole story but decided to go ahead with it as this is the practice supported by all the allopathic pediatricians. Unless you are an expert on this my sincere advice would be to go ahead with immunizations.

Despite all the good aspects of homeopathy, when the going gets real tough, you will turn to an allopathic pediatrician and unless they refuse treatment you will not go to a homeopath. That's what normally happens. I think you won't get insurance coverage if your kid falls ill as an effect of not having the proper immunization done. Think real hard before you decide not to have your kid immunized.

There is a lot of information you can access on the internet about vaccinations...studies done where one town in england didn't vaccinate and the next one did and fewer kids got sick in the town that chose not to vaccinate. There is the school of thought that has been expressed here that after a child has the measles or mumps...there is a developmental leap...as having those illnesses has satisfied the possiblity of expressing the miasms at a later time.( Maybe someone else can explain that better than me.) But I can understand that it would take a great deal of courage to not vaccinate when everyone around you is doing it. But you should inform yourself of all the knowledge you can so you won't have any surprises. They are saying that the extremely high rate of autism in california is due to vaccinations...and the government even has(or had one) a slush fund for lawsuits that are filed within two weeks of a vaccination...but not after that...in case a child becomes autistic during that time. I'm sincerely glad I don't have to make that decision anymore. But if you were going to not vaccinate I would make sure you have an ongoing relationhip with a really good homeopath first...so that you have back up if your kids get sick.

I have unvaccinated children in my practice and they are so easy to prescribe for and the remedies work brilliantly because they are not mucked up!!
If I had known what I do now my children would not have been vaccinated against anything. They were not vaccinated against whooping cough and both got it as did all the other children in the street who had been vaccinated!! They all played outside together in the sun between coughing bouts!! Most kids are not that il with it . The problem is that is continues for about 6 -8 weeks. I am sure that with homeopathic treatment that would be very much shortened!!

I regret the one vaccination I did get for my daughter--didn't know any better. My daughter has never had an antibiotic or swallowed a pill of any kind her whole life and she's 11 years old. She's had nothing but homeopathic medicine. We've even handled strep throat with homeopathy.

I suggest you find yourself a good holistic medical practice in NC where you and your child will be safe. Pediatricians can be aggressive!
If you say to one of them, "Well, I think we'll try Vitamin C for this problem," the next thing you know, Children's Protective Services are at your door! Start looking for a safe, holistic family practice physician now!

We are vegans. My daughter was raised as a vegan. She has raised her daughter, now almost 7 years old, as a vegan. This grandchild has never been vaccinated, was born at home with the assistance of a midwife. She has had two visits with a homeopath over her lifetime. Both visits were to provide data for school records only, not because she was ill.

My newest grandson was born at home (a ten pounder!) sans midwife. He will not be vaccinated and will be reared a vegan.

My personal opinion is that subjecting any infant (or any being) to vaccines is putting them in extreme danger. Lots of data to support this....just do a Google search.

Like others, I would love to go back and undo the horrors of vaccinating my children. They, at least, are not repeating the terror on their children.

Edit: veganism is included to indicate additional extremism, not because it has to do with vaccines, necessarily, though does in a larger scope.

Ah, its coming back to me..my son was allergic to penicillan and when he got strep..he was on different antibiotics for three months...finally, I took him to homeopathy and one dose high sulpher...and he was fine....and he never got strep again.

You don't have to vaccinate your child if you decide not to. NO ONE can force you to do this. Insurance coverage will still apply--just shope carefully for a provider.

If you opt not to use vaccines, make sure you have an alternative in place--find a good homeopath to work with and use homeopathy via this doctor for chronic and acute care. There is no need to be "cowed" into accepting vaccination if you don't want it. Don't let anyone tell you you HAVE to do this to your children, because you simply do not have to, and that is the legal reality.

I notice that one's opinion changes about many things as one gets' married ("I will nver allow her to do that !!", and she is doing it now !), and have children (I will NEVER give fever med's, immunizations, etc.). So here is my opinion: I strongly advise against most immunizations, especially for the less threatening diseases, like chicken pox, measles, scarlet fever, and all the other diseases we had to suffer with as children. However, polio is such a devastating disease that I would probably have my children immunized against it. But I will also start them on Silica 6X (for the side effects) and Ferrum phos 6x (for the fever) a few days before the immunization, and follow it up with a dose of Thuja (high potency).
