generally speaking..anything with wheat or corn in it...bananas and oatmeal...these things will slow down your metabolism so that you won't burn calories very well. The best way to speed up your metabolis if you are able is to excercise for 40 minutes 3 times a week. The last 5 minutes of the 40 minutes will be the most important. Ideally, you want your pulse to be around 140(in those last 5 minutes)..not over that...or you'll burn sugar instead of fat...or if you are an older person..then maybe 130...and you figure that out by counting your pulses within a 6 second period and multiplying it by l0(again, do this after those last 5 minutes). Getting to this point will change your metabolism.

I gained my first 15 pounds of extra weight by eating supposedly healthy nutritious homemade stone ground wholewheat bread. Wheat gluten...what they use for mock duck in asian food...is like 800 calories for about a half a cup.

thank you very much for the tips, but i'd like to understand why those pills are for. What role do they have in the diet. cuz it doesn't seem to help. by the way, if you don't eat wheat, what do you do eat, vegetables and meat ?

There is bread made from rice..there is also a bread called ezekial bread which you can get in freezer depts of most grocery stores or in coops(if you are in america)...which is made from seeds..I'm not talking about sprouted wheat here...its different from that.

Oh, I see you're not from america..you could also look up a recipi for essene bread and make that yourself.
