Question

Hi I am a South African and interested in phytotherapy/homeopathy.

Can you be so kind AND PLEASE explain me the diffrence between phytotherapeutic tinctures and homeopathic tinctures?

If I would make a tincture with the following specifications "1:5" and I am using 100 ml of water/alcohol menstrum, what would be the percentage of herbs used?

Your kind answer will be highly appreciated.
Thanking you

Hi
This depends on the substance or plant. There are standard procedures for the production of phythotherapeutic medicines which are ankered in the german pharmacytical codex.
In some cases they are the same, in other cases they are different to the production of homeoapthic mothertinctures.
Hahnemann desribed in his MMP at the start of each plant the exact procedure for gaining the mothertinctures.
