Hi,

If you treated (or can treat) a person suffering from Megaloblastic Anemia - please describe anything that can be helpful to me, as I am trying to treat one person, but lack any experience.

Any help!

Are you sure this isn't due to B12 deficiency? If so, then that's what you can use along with the constitutional remedy.

If the Schilling test is also normal, then the cause may be genetic or secondary to other drugs or disease. From Medline:

'Deficiencies or malabsorption of Vitamin B-12 and folic acid are the most common causes of megaloblastic anemia. Other causes are leukemia, myelofibrosis, multiple myeloma, certain hereditary disorders, drugs that affect DNA synthesis such as chemotherapy agents (methotrexate), alcohol, and other causes. Risk factors relate to the causes'.

If all of the above does not apply, and the cause is idiopathic, then you could consider using the larger anemia rubric and see if one of those remedies fits the constitutional picture.

Hi,

there are too many symptoms, that is why I am trying to go by the disease "name" and to try to match a remedy to the patient.

The main symptoms are weakness and amell from lying (the latter may point to MAnganum aceticum).
