Panthera, yes, I'm still interested.

If you (or anyone else) would like to comment on possible homeopathic palliation for this case, may I suggest you start a new topic? That way others will not have to plow through all the sciatica business that may not interest them. Call it "advanced metastatic melanoma" or something like that.

The patient is still functioning pretty well, living alone in fact, but survival is expected to be not more than six months due to recent disease progression and multisystem involvement. I believe symptoms at this point are limited to back pain, fatigue, weight loss, poor appetite and intermittent fevers.

'right; just spotted your reply and will do a brief response seperately...

Postscript:
Meaning, in response to your request, I - somewhat hurriedly - started a new thread
"Ca treatment question / a.m.m. ...".

Dear Avalon,

I think homeopathy could defintiely help your dad.

If you do look up the search as Panthera suggested, you will find all the details in his postings that would help guide your seriousness of purpose.

If you think we can help you out with remedy suggestions, you could contact me with all details of the history that we need. We'd be most happy to do so.

Otherwise you could also seek out the best, those with a lot of experience in dealing with Ca cases specifically, as Panthera suggested.

I wish you the best,
doctorleela

I refered two cancer patients to Dr. Rama those who consulted me online. They were using steriods recommended by their doctors. They consulted to Dr. Rama and he suggested to keep on using the same steriod till you get response from his prescribed homeo medicine. I know he did not commit any crime at that time as getting rid of steriod immediatly could cause harm to patients.

Dr. Rama is also mentioned about the use of allopathic medicine in conjunction with homeopathy at his personal site

Quote:
The treatment of Cancer can be quite successful with Homeopathy, OFTEN in conjunction with allopathic medicine in advanced cases. Visit this page http://www.drramakrishnan.com/cancer.html
HE USED THE WORD "OFTEN". I KNOW YOU KNOW THE MEANING OF OFTEN. OFTEN MEANS FREQUENT USE. HE ALREADY STATED AT HIS WEB SITE TOO THAT AS CANCER PATIENTS ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO TREAT SO IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO IMMEDIATLY REMOVE STERIOD DRUGS FROM THE PATIENT.

THE BEST WAY IS TO TAPER DOWN SLOWLY AND THEN PUT THE PATIENT ENTIRELY ON HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE.

Why are you assuming so much about Dr. Rama when you haven't seen him practicing. I fully support his method of treating patient.

When Dr. Ramakrishnan sees a new patient who has not started allopathic meds, he requests that they do not use any allopathic meds. When he sees someone who has been put on allopathic meds by someone else, he acepts them and tries to get them off their allopathic meds as quickly as he can. Steroids in particular can not be stopped 'cold turkey' without serious rebound effects. Weaning them off the meds is not an endorsement of them. I also know patients who are in his care.
