Dear Members

Here is a case for discussion.
I treated this case 4 years ago.
I left the information in its raw state.
Everybody welcome to have a go on it and sort it out.
Lots of fun!

I am 52 , female, married 3 children.
I have heard a lot of good things of homeopathy and decided to give it a go mainly for my hot flushes, which I suffer for the last two years. They come 4-6 times a day and affect mostly my head and are very embarrassing. My doctor put me on the HRT last year, but it did not agree, so I left it off.
I also suffer depression and was on medication for that on and off, but ever since I got the hot flushes, it lessened.
I also had a lump in my breast, which was surgically removed four years ago. They said it was not cancerous, but deep in my heart I don’t believe them, because they also took out the glands under my arms. I won’t tell this to the homeopath, as I am coming for the hot flushes I am suffering, only if hard pressed I would.
I also developed this skin-itch in the last year. It is mainly on my feet and comes on at nighttimes. My doctor gave me a cortisone cream for it, but this does not seem to work anymore. It is very annoying. Looking at it you won’t see much—just a red area. But it can burn like mad, and nothing can stop it.
The periods are gone for the last 3 years and I got a discharge instead, which is sometimes yellow. It is not itching or so and there is no particular smell of it.
My hair is getting thin and light and a lot falls out, but I suppose there is nothing what can be done about. I got this tonic in the health-food-shop but it does not seem to work either.
I get occasional headaches, sometimes when travelling, but I haven’t had one for ages. I am short-sighted and wear glasses. The eyesight did not change for a long time.
My energies are generally good, I am not overweight. Nearly all of my teeth are gone, but I used to indulge in sweets and blame it onto that.
I got a few brown spots lately on my face, but this could be with the age. The hearing good, the sense of smell normal. I got my tonsils removed when I was a child. I used to have a lot of chest-infections when I was younger, but now I only get the occasional touch—actually I am surprised—I hardly got anything the last 2-3 years.
The sleep is grand, the appetite good even though I can’t take fatty things anymore.
Nothing about the kidney-bladder.
The back used to give me a lot of trouble sometime ago, actually that was at least 10 years—but not so now. My digestion is regular.
I have no allergies, cold or hot don’t really affect me either.
I am getting on with live and take a day as it comes. The children are nearly gone, just the youngest is still around. My husband is working long hours and I feel sometimes lonely.
My mother used to live with us but died about 10 years ago. This changed a lot in my live and thinking back—this is where my depressions really started. And if I get depressed, then I have to be alone—I can’t stand my husband or the children. Or I have to go outside and walk , walk fast—that helps. But really, this has nothing to do with the hot flushes, and I would only tell if confident and if asked specifically.

Thanks Hans, I have printed the case for practice and will compare my findings after the weekend.

Hans I know you don't like to comment on animal cases, but, Anna is not around and Chris is on another time zone and probably won't be able to comment until late tonight (for me). I have been dealing with a rather debilitated cat who has since had a bit of a reaction to my remedy selection which I don't know will be beneficial to her state. Your comments would be greatly appreciated if you are on the board anyways. Thx

Hi David
What makes you think of conium?
Could you explain how you arrived there?

I'm trying to do this inbetween appts. So far I am interested in arsenicum, pulsatilla, and sepia. Have a lot more work to do on this. Only using the bolger's characteristics and mostly using the 3's and 4's.

Hi Hans,

I'll wait on the analysis until others have a chance. If conium didn't work, I'd look at arist-cl or possibly phytolacca. Thanks for the interesting history--

Dave

Hi David--show-off!

As usual, I'm with Carol, and it has nothing to do with her promise to pay my way to the Carribbean!

Puls--she misses her mother, she can't abide fats, it's a good hormonal remedy for women.

Sepia--can't tolerate her family when depressed,
must exercise to feel better, good hormonal remedy for women.

So, I'd have to reread the case and see what I've missed.

Thanks for the case,
Snoopy

I'm sorry to say that Aristolochia cl. isn't here.
