My husband just took the remedy over there. You know...the hospital didn't even give him antibiotics..until the blood tests come back..weird..that they don't know what scarlet fever looks like...thats what I first thought...rash on chest after a sore throat...but you think doctors must know better...unless they've just never seen a case before. I believe scarlet fever is dangerous cause it can damage the heart.

Apis is a good choice. Covers the "says well when very sick" as well.

I was basically concerned that the welts turned to sores that are getting larger, though. WHich is probably why the medics may have been concerned about this.
The scarlet fever rash otherwise is generally spots of red which later turn brown and the skin peels off.

YEs an involvement of joints and later an involvement of the valves of the heart are some of the common complications of Streptococcal infection.

I just talked to my husband and he said..they said he didn't have strep...but we all know those bugs can hide...right? Anyway...his mother is taking him to another doctor right now..and she said she would start giving him the remedy and call me later today.

Dangerous Advice!

Do Not take Apis, if not properly indicated.

Hit-and-Miss treatment has nothing to do with Homeopathy. Unfortionally there are members, who despite claiming to know homeopathy do not give homeopathic advice but advice rather in an allopathic way.

Apis has caused things like:

Keratitis
Erysipelas with stinging in the face.
Throat swollen, fierce red, Ulcers on tonsils
Vomiting
Peritonitis
Dyspnoea, hurried
Oedema of larynx
Suffocation
Hydrothorax
Meningitis

Remedy-repetition in the short intervals of the same potency is prone to prolong suffering.

My professional advice is: Seek the help of a competent homeopath in your area.

Kawasakis Disease is a very likely scenario
Skin peels off feet and hands
Treatment is Antibiotics and aspirins
These children must be checked for at least a year for any sign of heart murmer etc as Kawasakis causes blood vessel problems

Its rare and the doctors may never have seen it
cross between scarlet fever and Rheumatic Fever

Our grandaughter had it

Carol,

Dr. Bhatia saved someone's life on the BB once.
If he says it's Apis, then give it a try.

Hans does make a point about remedy repetition of the exact same dose, so, it would be better if the remedy were in water and succussed before each dose.

Unfortunately, I can't get ahold of anyone...husband or this person whose phone number I don't even know. It did seem like an excessive amount but I thought maybe it would only take a couple of doses to do the trick.

Dear Carol,

Most homeopaths don't even know about water potencies and yet they manage not to kill their patients, so, there's reason to suspect that everything will be all right.

Hans, What exactly is this "allopathic way" you're talking about?
