Thank you Shirley for this invaluable information. Louis Klein suggested eup-per and viscum album to me, so this case report you give is very interesting and certainly suggests considering eup-per in any new cases as it certainly sounds like the symptoms fit in this one.

Someone had also mentioned Verat-v due to the feeling of heaviness and paralyses along with the lung congestion.

If you want to find a preventive for SARS (or any other infectitious / epidemic), then you have to adopt a different techniques / approach as we don’t treat the disease so by adding all the symptoms of SARS into the computer you may get a specific remedy like Kali iod, Bryonia, Phos, Ant-tart and Sulphur etc but you will never reach at prophylactic for SARS.

Just imagine a person who actually not suffering with SARS but is very CONSCIOUS, ANGUISH and CONFUSED about the IMPENDING or INFECTION of this fatal disease. His thoughts will be FRIGHTFUL. He will be afraid of this fatal disease. He will demand for prophylactic or will show interest to be vaccinated just to protect himself from infection of this disease. You may add the following symptoms.





Patient will show FEAR OF IMPENDING DISEASE

Patient THOUGHTS will be persistent about the DISEASE

Patient THOUGHTS might be FRIGHTFUL

Patient will be ANGUISH and CONFUSED

Patient will be having a kind of FEAR

Patient will be conscious ABOUT his HEALTH

Patient will definite show COWARDICE attitude against fight against disease.

Patient might imagine DELUSIONS of kind like DELUSIONS of SICKNESS

Patient will say he has DOUBT about RECOVERY of this disease if it will hit him

Patient will tell you that he has FEAR of INFECTION of this disease

You will observe definite OVER SENSITIY in him about many things.



If you include all these symptoms of a patient you will get the following result.



Phos, Calc, Sep, Acon, Ars, Sulph, Arg-n, Ign, Kali-c, Puls



Phos is at top. This is the most preventive result oriented medicine against any kind of epidemic disease. I have observed clinically that Phos can enhance the immune system in the body. If you prescribe a single dose of Phos 1M, it will increase the resistance power of the body. Which will definitely protect the body against attacking virus / bacteria. If you could able to find constitutional near to above list then it will be of having plus point but not necessary. Just like calc carb is a constitutional remedy for most of the patients.



Specific can only be prescribed when you actually have infection of SARS but the person is not suffering from SARS but wishes to be vaccinated then Phos, calc carb, ignatia and Aconite cm are the prophylactic remedies.

This is so strange that sometime Dr.MAS behaves like a child and some time like a scholar. I am thankful to him for providing wonderful explanation for selecting prophylaxis. I am going to note this prescription in my homeopathic secret formulas note book for my children. Thanks
