Since Zita said she would fill out the questionnaire, we should probably reserve judgement until all the information is in.
According to my notes, what we know best about this case so far is: heat aggravates, cold/dry ameliorates, perspiration aggravates, heat of the bed aggravates, 4-5 AM aggravates, night time aggravates. The sensations are stinging, crawling, biting. This is all we know so far. She says she has always preferred the cold, by the way, so, given that Silica's are chilly people who love the heat and love to bundle up, Silica wouldn't be my first choice, unless someone can show me that Silica is great for parasites regardless of the modalities (the things that aggravate or relieve the person, like heat and cold). Homeoman, please read my response to Dr. MAS on 'I want to come out from classical homeopathy'. It explains my position, which has been consistent on all the various threads where the topic has come up.
I never favor allopathy. Because of the often lack of symptoms in cancer until it is very far advanced, have it staged is very important. [ 24. January 2003, 22:09: Message edited by: sreischman ]

Dear Homeoman,
I did a repertorization based on what we know so far, as I stated above, and, to your credit, Silica comes in 4th. It's in the rubrics: Skin, formication Skin, biting sensation Skin, stinging Perspiration, aggravates Evening aggravates 4 AM aggravates Heated, becoming aggravates So, not bad, Homeoman, we certainly can't rule out Silica. The only thing that goes against it is that she prefers the cold, even before the bugs came to stay she preferred the cold. But, we'll see. We'll know better when she fills out the questionnaire. Snoopy, I admire the thoroughness and objectivity of your case taking!!!!
The heat could be unknowingly trapped inside the body (blood) with dampness (as Homeoman said pus, or fat deposits) needs to be released. The outer craving for cold may be an attempt to cool the inner body down. Infection likely systemic not topical. Does she believe that being angry is "bad" or unnecessary? She said that she loves coffee, does she like hot peppers also? Those two would add internal heat. Quote:

Ya know, fellas...Zita's gonna think we're all nuts! She knows nothing about homeopathy, and we sound like we're from outer space! Hopefully she's not reading any of this!
Zita, very briefly, in case you are reading this, Samuel Hahnemann MD, a German physician, discovered, while translating a medical book over a century ago, that Quinine cured Malaria because when taken by a HEALTHY person it CAUSED the symptoms of Malaria! From this experience, he set out to determine if any disease could be cured in this way--by similars. He found out it was really true! So we, in your case, look for a substance that's similar to you. And that's about it in a nut shell. Snoopy |
