Angry

I have had an sinus infection for goin on 2 ½ years now. A cat-scan shows that I have chronis sinusitis. A infected area at the back of my nasal passages. With very little effert I can hock up some pretty discusting yellow phlem, snot, loughy, what ever. Then in as little as 5 minutes theres more yo replace that which I had just spit up.
I quit smoking two years ago, about the same time this started. I've gained 100 pounds in the process. From 215 to 300 in 2 years. Not good I know. But its what it took to get past 22 years of smoking, so I'm okay with it. For now.
Build: Normal to large
Sex: Male
Aversions: Nothing really. Raw fish, bugs, sour kraut, mean people.
Sleep: I'm constantly waking myself up with the high pitched snoring. Each time I need to get up and clear the discharge out before I try to go back to sleep. Here the weight thing is an issue. I constantly feel the need to roll over for comfort. And lets face it the couch is a big part of that.
Thirst: Here we go. This one is a gem. For about 10 years I had been drinking Diet Pepsi in escalating amounts. It got to the point, a year ago, where I was carrying around a 2-liter bottle where ever I went. Consuming close to 6 liters each day. Then I was informed about Aspartame. I stopped drinking it almost immediately. Only now it's 2 - 3 liters a day of regular Pepsi. I'm always thirsty. At first when this started 10 years ago, I thought it was the smoking that dried out my mouth and created the need to wet my whistle. It may have been just that in the beginning only I haven't smoked for over 2 years now and yet I still have the dry mouth and need to have a bottle of Pepsi next to me at all times.
Dreams: Nothing unordinary. Ive never really dreamed much. That I can remember.
Main Complaints: Postnasal Drip. Constantly hacking up snot colored from clear to yellow. Always there in the back of my throat/nasal passages.
Sexual Desire: . A little off kilter. Mostly lack of sleep, and opportunity. We have a 4-year-old who sleeps in the bed with mommy, while I've been on the couch. The snot in the back of my throat at night congeals and hang down far enough too vibrate when I snore and give off this high pitched sound reminiscent of a banshee scream. I kid you not. Its that bad.
Sensations With Complaints: sore throat, An over all tiredness. Weariness through and through. Maybe slight depression as well.
Sweat: Normal.
Complaints Better: Antihistamines help congeal it and allow me to sleep longer.
Cravings: None really. Just food, in large portions.
Anything Else: Normal to obese. 6'2'@300lbs doesn't qualify me for normal, but at my size it doesn't really make me obese either.
Ameliorations: Well sunny days at 70', sittin in the shade, sippin a strawberry daiquiri, watchin the waves gently lap against the shore are of course my best days, but isn't that true for most everyone?
PastIllnesses: Only colds and the flu
Aggravations: Pretty consistent day and night. Worse with in-activety.
ComplaintsWorse: It gets worse after a cold or the flu. It usually
clears up somewhat afterwards. Although it takes longer and longer each
time until this time it hasn't cleared up at all.
Height: 6' 2"
Occupation: Engineer
MostRecentComplaints: An over all tiredness. Weariness through and through. Maybe a slight depression as well.
FoodsDisagree: None really.
SensoryDisorders: none
Mind: . Easy going but a little stressed of late. Just the usual you know. 4 year old. In the middle of remodeling the house. Like I said the usual. Stuff everyone faces every day.
Compliants Location: Back of my throat and nasal passages.
Urine: I have a bladder the size of a walnut, always have. Drink 2 beers and I'm off to the races.
Age: 41
Stools: I'm fairly regular in this department. I do have some pretty
loose stools every once in a while though.

I was instructed to do the following.

1. Remedy - Calcarea Carbonica 30c
2. Dosage - One does of five small sized pills. No repetition
3. Foods to be avoided- Coffee, raw onions, raw garlic
4. Precautions - Avoid any food or drink for at least 15 minutes before or
after medicine
5. After you take the remedy one of the following can happen & the
subsequent actions required from you are as given opposite the likely
response

This remedy didn’t work. Didn’t seem to affect it at all. It’s been eight month's and this thing hasn’t gotten any better. We have a 4-year-old daughter whom is bringing one cold after another home and then gives them to me. I must swallow a gallon of snot a week when I have a cold. Not fun. If I take Cold meds to dry it up, I end up with the back of my throat raw and sore. I went to the Eye\ear\nose & throat specialist just over a month ago. He wants to cut up my nasal passages so I can get more air to the infected area. Then he says 'If that doesn’t work' he will cut up the back of my throat and scrap the infected area. I couldn’t believe it. He wants to cut me up and he isn’t even sure if it will work. I told him no thanks. Call me when you’re sure it will work.
Does anyone have anything more for me to try. I really don’t want to go back to that guy and go under the knife when it might not even work.

Thanks for all the help.

First off, I'd get a four hour glucose tolerance test and check my HgA1C. The symptoms sound like diabetes may be a possibility. Second, there should have been a one month follow up after you took the Calc and if it didn't have any effect, the case should have been redone. Have you had any follow up?

Nope. I got discouraged and went back to my regular doctor. And silly answers like Diabetes are going to send me right back again. Diabetes. Right. Sure. It’s a nasal infection for sobbing out loud.

I would like a full description of the discharge ("snot") like , colour, consistency, lumpy, watery, stringy.
What makes you angry? (gets up yur nose!!!) How do you react to anger.
If you had 3 wishes what would they be other than getting rid of the sinusitis.
Are you tidy or messy?
Do you like a routine?
How would your wife describe what you are like?

Depends; Most of the time it’s a yellow to brown, and slightly stinky. When I have a cold its mostly clear to light yellow. When I take cold tablets its mostly brown, real stinky and hard to hock up.

What makes you angry? (gets up yur nose!!!) How do you react to anger.

I get irritated pretty easily these days. I most cases I let it roll off my back. In extreme cases I yell, give my 2 cents, then walk away.

If you had 3 wishes what would they be other than getting rid of the sinusitis?

Mo money. Mo money. Mo money. In my experience it really does by happiness.

Are you tidy or messy?

I know where you’re going with this one. By nature I am very tidy, my wife on the other hand is a pig. If it was up to her nothing would get cleaned, and the floor would never get vacuumed. I live in a house with tongue and groove cedar from floor to ceiling. So there is always dust in the house. Our carpet is probably the original that installed when the house was new almost 40 years ago. We have put off replacing it until our 4 year old is past the worst of her spilling stage. I really hate to thing what’s growing under there.

Do you like a routine?

Oh god yes. Another thing my wife doesn’t understand. If you do things the same way. Put things away in the same place. Than life is much easier and less distracting. I really hate looking for something, like a tool or even a pen to write with, because it wasn’t returned to its proper place. I guess you could add this to the ‘what makes you angry’ list.

How would your wife describe what you are like?

Grump. Or Filex to her Oscar.

Hi Havoc

I won't even try giving it a shot to find a similimum, but whatever homoeopathic you try you may want to radically change your diet and food intake if you want to be successful. You also would want to exclude diabetes if not for yourself then for any practitioner working on you. Diabetes effects every single cell of your body and is therefore a deeper pathology then mere sinusitis. If it is diabetes you can also endanger licences and insurance covers of non-medical practitioners. Good luck

Hi Havoc,

If I may add my 2 bit here,
Quite a few remedies coming up with the sympotms youi've given.
Med, Kali Sulph, Ars, Nat Sulph and a few others.
We'll need deeper details to find a good remedy for you.
BUT here are my suggestions for the moment.
