Could you please tell me if your lips are cracked? If so, where are the cracks? Do you ever have dreams of falling? Does your nose ever run during stool? Describe your finger nails. Describe your eyebrows. Thank you, Snoopy [ 25. December 2002, 19:21: Message edited by: Snoopy ] |

Snoopy, Thanks for your quick response. I think Thuja seems to be a good pick. I read up on it today and it seems to have a lot of symptoms I listed on the questionnaire to you. There were a few exceptions though e.g., asthmatic condition, dreams (which don't agree in my case). I assume the ones which match outweigh these.
My question to you: I stopped taking Levoxyl intermittently in the past few months, stopping when I try a homeopathic remedy. Recently, I started back on it because of the high levels and as Carb-v did not seem very effective lately. Also, I wanted to stabilize my T levels before I try something else. I started back on the medication about a week ago. Do you suggest I stop taking it while I try Thuja? This has always been a big question for me. One side of me arguing that it is just a hormone supplement and if the remedy works I should only have more of the harmone at some point (hyperthyroid) but it should not necessarily mess with the homeopathic treatment. Not sure though. Pat & Chritiaan: My primary care physician did order the whole lab works (TSH, T3, T4) when he did. But I think he mainly considered TSH for the most part and used the others merely to see if they agree. On the other hand since it is unusual for a PCP to order frequent lab tests (insurance won't allow?) while I am on homeopathic treatment, I have chosen to get my own testing done from an idependent lab. Since it is not cheap I normally only get the TSH checked. |

Dear Vaidya,
We never say, "Stop your medication." Homeopathy generally works despite the medicines people are on; and when they start to feel better, the MD might say, "I think we can lower the dose of this medicine" or you can bring it up yourself, that you feel better and would like to slowly withdraw from the medicine to see to what extent you still need it. Now, Nat-mur is a "3" in the Hypothyroid rubric, and you're a nat-mur type to some degree; after reading up on it, you may feel that this is a good remedy for the thyroid condition, if nothing else, and maybe a 6X Nat-mur 3 or 4 times a day for a month or so to see if the thyroid numbers change might be something you'd want to consider. There are those who'd say that if Thuja is your remedy, it will fix the Thyroid eventhough it's not in the Thyroid rubric. I don't know the answer, but there's nothing that says you're stuck with a remedy even if it doesn't work. If you try something and it doesn't work, you can just move on to the next most likely remedy or solution. What did you read about Thuja that made you think it might be your remedy? Snoopy |
