To me, it is an important step. Homeopathy believes in lab investigation. It has rules... :razz:

I think no body can deny the importance of lab investigation in homeopathy. If he or she is a real homeopathy. It certainly helps in the differenciation of rubrics.

It's also a good help in determining if the remedy is working, particularly in certain diseases when there are not a lot of unique symptoms.

Unfortunately the scope of lab testing was quite limited at the time when most homeopathic remedies were tested. Such tests might have detected changes in the biochemistry of the provers. Such indications could be useful if they were deemed to be characteristic or unusual. I believe it would be very interesting to do lab testing on provers, certainly a bit more scientific than psychedelic/shamanistic vision quests.

Good post Quill

I think many lab indications are available in Kent repertory, like

Albumin in urine
Blood in urine
Epithelial casts in urine
Sediments mucous
Sediments gravel
Specific Gravity increased
Specific Gravity decreased
And Sugar in urine etc.

It is good idea to study medicines according to the lab findings after re-proving old medicines and also after proving new drugs. Although it is not symptomatic homeopathy but you can find a group of medicine for easy approach.

Again you have to select the remedy after compiling all patient’s symptoms. But after getting lab reports you can clarify your symptoms and also verify your medicine. I am presenting here an idea and not principle. Just like if you observe increase in reading of EEOSINOPHILS (1-4) in blood, then Nat Phos clinically proved three grade remedy including Cina, Spig, Sant and Calc two grades and arsenic one grade.

DLC Normal Value========In case of high value

Neutrophils (40-70)========Phos, Crot h, Sil, Hep etc
Basophil (0-1)============Ars, Kali carb
Lymphocytes (20-45)=======Bapt, Bry, Ars, Arn
Monocytes (2-10)=========Think about miasmatic treatment and their remedies.

Prof. Dr. Arshad,H/ Dr. Inam Mirza,

Dr.Arsad has provided a specimen of Lab.Report vs. Remedies. This type of details of most of Lab.reports will greatly help and made the prescribing easy and accurate.

However, it looks allopathic Lab. investigations are more meaningful on disease occurance, but 'anticipated diseases and disorder's' (i.e. which may occur in future) and 'Individual type differances '(person to person)aspects are not properly studied and looked into in these Lab.Tests which are of great importance in homeopathy. So we should also frame our own tests along with these tests.

Prof Dr. Arshad already clarified that this information (gp of medicine against lab reports) is just a step ahead to provide easy approach but again you have to follow the symptoms.

Just like Robin Murphy mentioned hepatitis remedies just to give an idea.
