look more into "the need" --symptomology that surrounds that aspect.

maybe process of chewing--flavour-texture...etc
break it down --whole process..

i.e.... what symptoms occur when does not get the licorice. or symptoms occuring that licorice is satisfying .

Liquorice herbally is associated with hypoglycaemia, low blood sugar. People who have this find that liquorish tea helps to regulate blood sugar. Is this what the craving is about? In that case you can use the symptoms that they would have if they did not have the liquourice e.g. sudden weakness, headache etc

Have them try not eating carbohydrates for some weeks, that'll regulate blood sugar and even out swings in energy. Have them use a sensibly constructed diet program (Atkins or whatever) after a general physical examination at their GP's.
If you stumble across the remedy, please tell me, I can be pretty hooked on liquorice at times :-D

Yes, I am a practicing homoeopath.

I conferred with some colleagues who say Nat-mur. can have a craving for liquourice (i.e. the salt in it).
