Hello,
I am a nurse in California U.S. and new to this list. Does anyone know if Homeopathic medicine can remedy the sometimes rapid formation of scar tissue following surgery, in particular contractures ( scar tissue tightening up)after breast implants are placed?
Thank you.
Kashia

Hello everyone - its barb - new comp. lost password equals new name.

Anyway, is Silica contraindicated in cases of breast implants?

Also, has anyone had a case of Silicone breast implants leakage causing a proving of silicone?

Copious yellow discharge is what Kali Sulph. is known for.

2 other remedies for scarring after surgery are
Thiosinaminum and Silica.

Hi Barb,

We were apparently posting at the same time.

I wish I could answer your question about implants and Silica, since it does help the body eject splinters and anything else that should come out. Just to be on the safe side, I'd probably try to find an alternate remedy.

I have treated a number of women after receiving breast implants, and have found that no matter which remedy they are given, providing it is the correct remedy, they avoid this rapid accumulation of scar tissue. Arnica seems to have been the most common remedy I have used due to the massive bruising, injury to soft tissue and extremed sensitivity of the part to touch. I might consider using that one as a standard, immediately after surgery (not before).

I have a newish patient who has had a double masectomy and has implants. The scar tissue is pushing the implants and is causing discomfort. Any suggestions to dissolve the scar tissue? She has done very well on Carc. I wish I had taken a before and after photo!! I was wondering whether to give her Thios 6x daily for a while but after what David has said maybe the Carc. will do the trick. I am abroad at the moment with no access to my notes but I think the implants are about 1-2 years old.

Hello, Kashia, nice to have a nurse aboard!

Calendula 30C, a few pellets in a small bottle of water, sipped a few times a day after surgery
(shake before each dose) will not only help with normal healing of surgical scars, but speed the recovery in general.

For nausea after surgery, the remedy would be Phosphorus 30C, and for retention of urine after surgery, the remedy would be Causticum 30C.

Let us know if you have anymore questions.

Sincerely,
Snoopy
