I read about two remedies a while back and now that I have some clients who might benefit from them, I can't find the reference. One was about a child who when he was ready to leave the doctor's office kept tugging on his mother. The other was about a child who reacted to strict parents by becoming compulsive in counting things. If anyone has a clue as to where these references where or what the remedies are, please let me know.

The latter sounds like a Carcinosin case to me!!! I don't remember the threads though.

Compulsive counting is much more sycotic than cancerous - in fact, I have found Thuja to be excellent for those sort of children.

Tugging on the mother - that doesn't sound very unsual for a child - hardly worth repertorising.

The tugging is of an unusual nature that was described perfectly in the book I was reading. It only happens in the doctor's office. The more she tries to tell him to wait just a few more minutes, the more insistant he becomes. He puts his whole body weight into it. What stuck in my mind is the description of it only happening in a doctor's office and his escalating insistence. I wasn't so much interested in remedy suggestions as I was in finding the book reference.

In the other case, both Thuja and Carc were amoung the remedies that came up, but again, it is the book reference I was interested in. There was an interesting discussion of how and why the counting developed.

BTW, I don't think I read about either on the BB. It was a book I was reading and I can't find it. I've gone through all the ones I was reading about then, and I can't find anything remotely like what I remember. I think it was one of the more contemporary books. So if anyone has any idea which books these references are in, please let me know.

Hercu's pediatric contsitutional types is one of the ones I rechecked and I couldn't find it. The paragraph about the doctor's office had some very good information on how the child related to doctors which is why I wanted to reread it. I'm pretty sure it was in one of the books on children.

I don't think the paragraph on counting was in a book specifically about children It talked about adults who count and how it relates to their experiences with their parents when they were children.

I know you have cara Pro and if you have the latest edition you should have all the contempory books on it. Have you tried a MM search on the word "counting"? I am abroad at the moment but will do a search for you if you remind me in a personal E mail from Jan 3rd when I will be back at home!!

Ricky, I have the latest version and I've done a search. I'm pretty sure the paragraphs were in books that are not included in CARA.
