Compulsive counting is much more sycotic than cancerous - in fact, I have found Thuja to be excellent for those sort of children.
Tugging on the mother - that doesn't sound very unsual for a child - hardly worth repertorising.

The tugging is of an unusual nature that was described perfectly in the book I was reading. It only happens in the doctor's office. The more she tries to tell him to wait just a few more minutes, the more insistant he becomes. He puts his whole body weight into it. What stuck in my mind is the description of it only happening in a doctor's office and his escalating insistence. I wasn't so much interested in remedy suggestions as I was in finding the book reference.
In the other case, both Thuja and Carc were amoung the remedies that came up, but again, it is the book reference I was interested in. There was an interesting discussion of how and why the counting developed.

BTW, I don't think I read about either on the BB. It was a book I was reading and I can't find it. I've gone through all the ones I was reading about then, and I can't find anything remotely like what I remember. I think it was one of the more contemporary books. So if anyone has any idea which books these references are in, please let me know.

could it be Herscu's Children Constitutional types?

Hercu's pediatric contsitutional types is one of the ones I rechecked and I couldn't find it. The paragraph about the doctor's office had some very good information on how the child related to doctors which is why I wanted to reread it. I'm pretty sure it was in one of the books on children.
I don't think the paragraph on counting was in a book specifically about children It talked about adults who count and how it relates to their experiences with their parents when they were children.
