I was talking to my homeopath last night ... I decided to go back to see a doctor and had a few questions for him before I went. He did agree I should go see a doctor for he did not understand how the pain kept returning strong after going to the Gym..

I asked him how come the first remedy I took the Ars remedy forced the ear pain to travel in to the left ear. He said that it was predisposed to go there and no remedy could make youu have symptoms that you didn't already have...

I was trying to understand that but then I could not fully understand how the pain traveled into the left ear after taking that remedy. He was saying it would have happened anyway?

Well my homeopath is no longer my homeopath but I still have some unfinished questions for him. I decided to go back to the doctor for I was afraid maybe something was clearly wrong and I was just not seeing it. I did not want to go back to another homeopath or anyone until he checked me out again.
But I knew he was gonna ask me how I got left sided ear pain when originally it was only on the right side. I did not expect him to understand homeopathy but if I have gotten worseo could that be? Can remedies make you worse? I know somepeople have talked to me before on here and I have taken there suggestions but right now I am at a fork in the road of what to do next and just had some questions.

Dear Danielle,

I hope you're gonna see Lawrence Gallante, are you? I sincerely wish I could recommend someone else. I think it's more important to find someone who can make you well than to be able to specifically answer your question about why did the earache go to the left. We'd all be guessing. But only a homeopath can undo this mess. Have you seen an MD yet? Don't spend all your money on him and have nothing left over for a homeopath.

I hope you're not switching homeopaths because he couldn't give you an answer about your ear!

Dear Shirley,

If I've been following Danielle's case correctly,
I think she's quiting cuz the homeopath has run out of ideas. The last I heard, he was going to try one more remedy and I guess it failed.

A remedy definitely can produce new symptoms - that is called a proving, and homoeopathy is founded on the principle "what a remedy can cause it can cure". Some homoeopaths may try to avoid responsibility by pretending that nothing bad can happen when you take a remedy. They may also have a very poor understanding of the philosophy.

It is true, that you would have to have had a weakness there, for the symptom to have appeared, but it may have been the action of the remedy that caused it to happen. This may have been a proving, or a suppresion of the original symptom, or the disease may have progressed completely unaffected by the remedy.

Hi David!

Nice to see you again, was just thinking about you yesterday, thinking, "David must be doing really well since we haven't heard from him in ages!" (In that context, my life must be a disaster!)

Thanks for dropping in,
Snoopy

Hello Snoopy,

it has been busy - the college had me teaching up to 4 classes a week, which with the practice at home, at the medical centre and at the psychologist's office, kept me on my toes.

Just want to say Hi to David too. A good friend of mine is planning to move to Australia for a year so I may be sending her your way - or Chris's. She promised to bring me back a kangaroo or Koala if I can recommend a good homeopath. Let's just hope she doesn't find any of Chris G's flying cockroaches!

Oh my God, that's all we need! David, have you had the same experience as Chris with the flying cockroaches, or is Chris inviting them in?

People from other countries often find our huge flying bush cockroaches somewhat unnerving. I haven't seen many so far this year, but that could change at any moment.
