please help...little girl at my house has ear ache...I only know about putting warm olive oil in ear....cheek hurts too...right side..seems better with right side ear down. Any suggestions.

Creo que llego un poco tarde pero quizá interese. Por aquí, para el dolor de oídos se utiliza una vieja receta que da buenos resultados. Se hace con una hoja de papel un cartucho, a modo de embudo y se pone la parte estrecha en el oído afectado. Por la parte ancha, se echa el humo de tabaco, para que penetre en el oído. El alivio del dolor es casi inmediato.

Yes, thanks for the tip. By the time the little girl got home to pick up the dad to go to hospital...the pain was gone..she had said earlier in the day that her ears hurt when she swallowed or burped. Then she was saying it went from side to side. She woke up this morning fine. They're going to take her to dentist to have her teeth checked.

What actually is the olive oil supposed to do?

For ear pain verbascum oil also called mullein oil usually does the trick. Warm a spoon, put oil on the spoon and tickle down the ear. Put a bit of cotton wool in to keep it in.
