I need some help with this case please.

right side muscle spasm in neck - can't turn head - any movement causes sharp pain. After sleep is worse.walking stiffly so as to avoid any movement of head and neck. Strted by working on computer (was stressed and anxious the day before about a job). no change in appetite or heat. Mood is okay. says neither heat nor cold affect it.

was given bryonia 200c and arnica200c with no results.

IF BRy and Arn have not helped, my next choice whoudl be either Nux Vomica or Rhustox.

Also one could use a local application of Arnica/Rhustox with a hot water bottle/pad application over it. Gentle rubbing, no massage.

Thanks for the reply Leela. I was thinking nux vom too and the person seems "nux vomicy" to begin with so i will try that. I just needed some confirmation from a wise one.

in my opinion,i m totally agree with doctor leela's suggestion.but i think you should take the whole case and total symptoms.but for now rhus tox 1m is a good choice.

I did as Carol suggested--and NOT because Carol is taking me on an all expenses paid trip to the Caribbean!--and had a look-see at Phytolacca, and lo and behold, under back it has, "neck, stiff".

Ha!

(Does everyone remember Carol from when she was a soda can, before she became a chair? Ahh, those were the days...)
