Is this what you are after:
http://homeoint.org/clarke/index.htm If you go here, each remedy is listed. In fact, there are many on-line materia medicas, which have been uploaded from various texts. This site has them all listed in its reference section. Another site that has a few remedies listed is: http://www.aeonglobe.com/homoeopathy/ Just select the remedy from the drop down menu and it brings up a short synopsis of that remedy.

Ooops.
Sorry oobagah. I didn't see your second post. If you don't want to read up the materia medica books (which are available for free online), what kind of information about remedies are you after? [ 21. August 2002, 02:46: Message edited by: Simone ]

Maybe you're not familiar enough with homeopathy to know that the remedies are written up in materia medicas. These are books. Homeopaths work with repertories, which list the symptoms for each remedy by symptom and materia medicas which list the symptoms of each remedy by remedy. Other than going to the original proving manuscripts, materia medicas are the only way, and the most common and easily accessible way, of finding out about the remedies. The list of on-line books that can be read for free at this site includes a number of the most comprehensive materia medicas. That's why I recommended the site.
If the above doesn't apply, then possibly you are wanting to find out about the substance that makes up the remedy. In that case, if it is a mineral, you would need to find some type of chemical reference book, if it's a plant, then a botany book and if it's a nosode, possibly a medical text. However, none of these will give you the information on the symptoms developed and cured by the potentized remedy, i.e., the information pertaining to the substance's use as a homeopathic remedy. I hope this answers your question more fully. [ 21. August 2002, 03:45: Message edited by: sreischman ]

Thank you for the replies. I will check out some of your books when I have time. I'm just wanting to try some homeopathic remedies to replace all the drugs for allergies. I already use Nox vimoca and really like it. A friend recommened it to me. Due to illness, I will be away for a week. Could also use something for nerves about now!!
