My pressure has gone up to l78, as well as cholestral to 230 which does not make me happy, especially when Doc's want me to take their medication like Avapro, then take blood test to make sure kidneys not effected. not planning to take same,in addition it does not test well with two methods of testing. My diet is not the problem,(a veggie)use Vit. C instead of salt, nothing fried for 40 yrs., only use olive, canol in foods after steamed. nor is it my activity. Im a very active 85yr. old, on the go-7/llpm with 2hr.lunch and afternoon relaxing for half hour.Im a fast, clean, orderly, caring human being for self and others. Cold, and weather changes effect me, as a child and now brochits, asthma, food, chemial allergies.Thank God not allergic to Homeopathic meds. I do take vitamins, and herbs
to keep my growing catarcts down, so far still 20/25, vit e, B complex, multipull, digestaid, or lots of pineapple or papaya,cq l0,and niacin.
been on homeopathy since l976, but cant seem to pinpoint anything special for rise in pressure and cholestral in homeopathic meds.. Have two murmus, one Mitral prolapse, other aortic.and I still can dance for hours, besides doing own housework, garden, etc. dege1@juno.com

Firstly as far as I am concerned it is normal for BP to be 100+your age which means that 178 is fine!!!

To get BP down take garlic and hawthorn (crateagus) tincture is a must with your heart problems. Look it up on the web. Other than that all I can suggest is constitutional homeopathy.

Thank you for your imput, don't think the ratio of age+100 is really o.k., have always been 130-40. I take hawthorn tea, but allergic to garlic. Think of adding, capsicum, and fennigreek with the hawthorn, and siping it all day on/off. I use spiegla for heart and works good - too bad we dont have a good pressure homeopath remedy.
Will keep checking as I dont give up so fast. thanks again.

Hello Dorothy,

You can try Rawolfia Serpentina Q 10 drops twice a day for your BP. It is almost a specific. I think that Cratageous Q will work better than hawthorn tea. Don't take herbs indiscriminately. It may do you more harm than good. Best is consult a doctor.

DEar Dorothy,
Ricky suggested garlic. We do use a lot of Allium Sativa in Mother tincture or 6C potency for both cholesterol and high blood pressure as a specidic.
So do give it a try.
How's the dancing going? (you're the same one aren't you?)

REgards,

Am a bit bothered about the suggestion if Rauwolfia Q as if you read the proving it can cause depression which is waht it is given for in allopathic medicine. In fact Helios won't dispense it under 6x as it is down as a poison. I have the 6x and have taken it on occasions and it does work on an acute basis!!

Hi,cant find Rauwolfa in Boerck, or kents. but I received it in 6c, I hestitate taking it cause I have no place to read up on it. and dont know what the antidote would be if it should backfire on me, as I am anything but a depressed person, I could be sad about death of dear or little ones, but not depresssed= as we are all on the same Merrygoround and just spin around till we catch the golden ring which is on Gods finger. Also got the garlic homeo, and found that Lyc. is the antidote.in case it reacts. The Cart(hawthorne) didnt come in as yet

Hi Dorothy
Rauwolfia is an Indian homeopatic drug.
For high blood pressure you should use the tincture and not the potency.
Rauwolfia is also available in tabletform.
But I think there should be better alternatives for you.

Dorothy,

If you have an edition of Boericke with an Indian drugs section included, you'll find Rauwolfia there. It is generally used in Q.
