Dear Jen,

Question too general.

Be more specific. What are you considering these remedies for? What's the illness or complaint? Is it an acute or chronic complaint?

Hi, I was just asking because I filled in the questionare from Arun Singhal and he prescribed Phosphorus 30c, but 5 tablets all in one dosage. I thought this was a bit excessive, so I e-mailed him again and he seemed to think that British tablets were larger than the Indian ones so perhaps I need take only 1. I am totally confused. Thanks Jen

The idea that the quantity doesn't matter is an erroneous concept that Kent developed based on Swedenborgian philosophy. If your homeopath says to take 5, then take 5. I am a Kentian and also read Swedenborg, so this is in no way a put down of either. It's just that in practice, the number of pellets does often matter.

This gets more and more confusing by the minute, first it was 5 tablets then 1 tablet and now its back to 5 again. I must add that I am very very sensitive to homeopathic remedies so it must be absolutely correct. Thanks Jen

I would suggest you contact your homeopath and see if he would let you put the remedy in water. You could then sip it as needed. Snoopy knows a lot about preparing and using water remedies.

It really doesn't matter if you take one or 100 pillules as long as it is in one dose!! It is the repetition that is impritant. One dose of the Phos 30 , be it 1 or 5 pillules is fine!! I always give one pillule and I prescribe in the UK!! Our pillules do tend to be larger but to make the medicated pillules all you do is to put a couple of drops of medicating potency on a whole bottle so it is only the surface of the pillule that is medicated anyway. I hope I haven't confused you more.

I have to ask though why didn't you see a competant local homeopath in person? It is far better.

I did see a registered homeopathist for 8 months, but did'nt seem to get very far so I lost faith in her. There is'nt another homeopathist for miles around, so I decided to try this website for advice. I feel homeopathy is right for me but its just finding the right remedy. Jen

Jen, even homeopaths see another homeopath for constitutional treatment as you don't see yourself in the same light as others. You are correct that there are no listed registered homeopaths in Nottingham. If you can get to Belper in Derbyshire ther are at least 2 I would recommend. Contact me via the private message icon above if you are interested.
