Member # 3746 posted 05. August 2002 04:29 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks Barb, for transfering everything over to here! I can't get over there. Weird! Anyway, if the caller is there... (Wow, I've turned into Phil Donahue...) Unless I find out that the swelling is red and radiating heat, or has a sensation of coldness, what I repertorized came out Mercurius first, Rhus Tox second and Bromium third. Barb, maybe you could transfer this reply to the other thread, and thanks for the link that enabled me to get there through the back door! Hi there...weird confusion going on with the forum, that doesn't make much sense. Anyway...
Yes, it is slightly red as stated. It does not appear to have any temperature difference than the other cheek. I believe the pus had a slight yellow color to it, but I did not see it. I know in the past, that was the color. As for an odor, I have no idea. I don't believe it has in the past. The doctor is doing some labwork on the pus sample, so I will be sure to post the findings here... I'm drinking water because I was told to hydrate. It's room temperature water that I drink. Yes, on top of all this, I'm still thirsty. In fact, surprisingly parched a lot of the time. Barb, can you please define "plenty" of garlic cloves? *grin* And, if you could, describe why this is something I should be taking. One, for my curiosity. Two, because it's difficult to eat anything. And three, because that flavor will surely set my gland into secretion making it larger. Not complaining, by any means, I just like to understand why I'm doing what I'm doing! Thanks so much for all the help thus far...I look forward to any further plans. I'll copy this to the other thread as well. |

Can't see much to prescribe on here Snoopy. The only remedy that came to mind is Sulphur.
OTher than that, I'd have to do a detailed repertorization! All the best.

hello ABJ,
the symptoms you given shows chronic recurring parotiditis.this is most probably due to infections or parotid stone. In case of later there will be increse of swelling and pain during and after eating. the recurring tendancy is easily aborted by infrequent doses of parotitinum 200 th potency.Another remedy come here is pulsatilla. Is it hard or soft to touch?

hello Cuty,
The mumps usually produces life long immunuty and it has a definite course also.Usually mumps occur bilaterally.it will subside with in 2 week also.If it is complicated ,orchitis(infl. of testis),sterility, oophoritis(inf.of ovary),pancreatitis etc are seen. This is commonly seen during child hood and infected by droplet infection. So there will be chances of infection in the neighbourhood also. Here reccuring tendancy and chronicity leads to the possibility of chronic parotitis due to chronic infection or stone with regards, dr jayakumar pannakkal
