Thanks for those responses. I'll check out LCOH about that 4th year student Simone. I'm writing a paper and want to make sure the information I'd been given was accurate. It's interesting to note that in some countries there isn't this problem. We were given the 75% figure at the second college I attended, but have no idea where it stemmed from. On talking to a colleague who does acupuncture and herbs in this country, he says that the figure is nearer 80%, not just for acupuncture, etc. but for most alterative/complementary practitioners in this country - mainly because it can be very hard for people to afford to become self-employed when they have been used to a regular income, to pay mortgages etc. I agree that there are many more people training as homeopaths nowadays, but certainly from my own experience, trained at LCCH and Purton House, there are very few people from my classes who are still practising,more than on a hobby level and fewer still who became registered. I agree that it is the isolation factor that can get to people. Best wishes Clare
