I GOT IT!!
Sorry gpm I didn't have to resort to the candling so I can't tell ya how it went. I had tried irrigating the ear with warm water the other day and got nothing so today I used some warmed olive oil as per Anna's suggestion and let it soak a bit and then used some short pulsations with warm water in a infant bulb syringe an lo and behold the little bugger floated right out. It was very exciting. Gpm - i am gonna try to convince hubby to let me candle his ear and will let ya know how it goes. barb

Pretty nifty BArb,
If you can syringe out wax successfully and use an otoscope properly, you'd have made a great ENT! That's the bread abd butter of some ENT's here. Not the wax itself, but the earnings from it! warm regards, doctorleela
