Every single post of mine analyses the situation medically and homeoapthically as it progressed. Sorry it escaped your understanding. Regards, doctorleela [ 27. August 2002, 13:18: Message edited by: doctorleela ]

Though reluctant to even respond at all, thus further continuing the kind of destructive posts you seem bent on making, I think you have completely misunderstood the IV fluid situation. Since you seem to circle around that as the main issue, understand what was said. Krista had the cat on fluids, given subqutaniously rather than intravenously. There are many reasons for doing that including difficulty in getting a good vein, problem of leaving the line in an animal and so forth. It would mean the cat would have to remain in the vet hospital, confined to a small cage, generally...and often kept on tranquillizers to keep them from pulling out the needle. If you think that the cat would have been better off in a small cage, unattended other than office hours (alone through the nights and off hours) where no one gave her special attention, languishing unattended among people and animals she didn't know in order to have the fluids delivered via IV rather than sitting on Krista's lap, being told how important she was, with all kinds of special attention day and night........but getting the fluids via sub-q....as you seem to think paramount in the entire case.....then you have NO concept of cats. Trust me, cats suffer terribly shelved and stored in vet hospitals. And, furthermore, saline is not often the fluid of choice. Rather, we use Lactated Ringer's. Krista was giving this fluid in the comfort of her kitty's home in amounts that would be equal to an IV drip. The vet hospitals don't do it this way because it takes too long, requires special one on one attention to do it. They dope them up, stick a needle into the vein, hook up the line and stash them in a cage. If the cat (which happens a lot) chews out the lead, then it is all done over again. So.....stop with the fluid comments. You have missed the entire point. Thus, your argument is groundless, pointless and without merit. Try, the next time around, to help rather than hurt with nonsensical (and personal) comments........you could take a lesson from these good people and what they have been doing all along. I think this thread should be closed. There is not one thing constructive in your posts and you are making a fool of yourself, in my opinion.

David Kempson said - NOT ME.
I was NOT INTERESTED in answering Mujahid. READ - HC Clake's Dictionary of MAteria MEdica on CHINA ARS to clarify your inaccurate assumption. Obviouly you haven't. ITs in the FIRST sentence.

I think this was the case of Viral Diarrohea commonly found in animals. I think, an opinion / suggestion from vet dr is needed here.

>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;> I want to tell to board members that every patient’ case is not always the case of homeopathy. Homeopathy has its own limitation. Just like every system of medicine has its borderline. In the same way, homeopathy too has its border. Whenever we will try to cross that border we will get nothing. I understand that how can a person claim the exact location of that border. This has been determined by collecting data after doing so many experiments on the patients. Professionals of medical sciences exactly know, which line is the border line for which patient. We should also keep in our mind that prescribing and following the case on internet is easy but ground realities are different.
>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;> It is very difficult to treat animals. I have an experience of ten years in Veterinary Hospital, where I treated and gained practical experience of treating Animal’s diseases. After resigning from that service, I started doing private practice. I have been in this field for the last twenty years or so. I am also running a veterinary pharmacy which is manufacturing homoeopathic, herbal and Radionic medicine. Some of our products are in the form of injectable ampoules. Our products are available in different forms. They are really result orientated. My pharmacy products are approved products for using in government veterinary departments. Now we have started them to export too. >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;> In this fussy case. We (members) failed to determine that border line of the severity of the case. The cat was suffering with Viral Diarrhea. In such cases generally the symptoms subside within six to seven days without medication. What we have to see in such cases, just to keep an eye on electrolyte balance in the body and nothing else. In such case any thing which an animal eats passes to other end without major absorption in the body. This is the symptom of china in homeopathy. What should we do in such cases. We should not stop food therapy (according to the type and demand of animal). Don’t get panic from rise or fall of condition. This we have gained after experience. What to do at what stage. Give maximum time of care to your animal. This type of patient (cat) was needed to diagnose properly. When ever the electrolyte balance will get disturb the patient excretory system will also get disturb. Finally you will see kidney problem symptoms. The same was happened here. >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;> There are so many ways of giving medicine or therapy to patient. These methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. Oral, IM or IV etc. The selection of proper method depends upon the severity and condition of the patient. In this case fluid therapy was carrying on via Subcutaneous method. It has its own advantage. This is a difficult procedure and one should have good experience and practical knowledge of this method before adaptation. The method is quite painful. Slight mistake in doing this method may lead to inflammation or cause uneasiness in the animal. Some time it will aggravate the already existing symptoms too. We need to adopt this procedure when we need slow absorption of medicine when the condition of the animal seems stable. While Intra Venous therapy is an easy way to adopt, for giving fluid therapy. This is simple method as compare to subcutaneous method. Patient will feel comfort in this method. We generally adopt this method when immediate absorption of medicine or fluid is necessary. In this particular case. I would prefer IV therapy instead of SubQ. What should we have to do. Give Ringers Solution (An electrolyte balance solution having some vitamins too) through IV for immediate need of animal. I would also like to tell here this is the cheapest medicine as compare to any other medicine. I have visited two foreign countries. This is easily available without medical prescription. >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;> If some members have personality clash then it does not mean that we deny or mold medical first aid rules according to our own need. Kkrista and Dr. Leela, I would like to congratulate you. You both really fought well for saving the life of the patient. You done your job. All other doctors contributed well, specially those who devoted their time in searching and suggesting you the name of medicine. It is so easy to do criticism on already suggested medicine like carbo veg, apis, aloes and china ars etc. But it is very difficult to suggest medicine on the board. This need a lot of confidence. Your efforts are superior than critical comments. [ 31. August 2002, 10:35: Message edited by: Vet Dr. Hafiz Mati ] |

I am not clear about the situation.
But do follow the quote by unknown {Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow; don't walk behind me, I may not lead; walk beside me and be my friend.} George Royal wrote in a book, “Fever, sweat and frequent urination “ is well indicate in china ars cases.
