Hi everyone -- just thought I'de send an update on the pregnancy.
Only 4 weeks till full term and Im as eager as a beaver. It couldnt happen quick enough now.
It hasnt been an easy time over the last 8 months though and I have made myself reasonably scarce on the BB, only checking a few threads now and then.
At 16 weeks, we lost one of the twins to Twin to Twin transfusion syndrome. This came as a total shock as I had only just become used to the notion of two babies at once and it was very upsetting for the whole family.

Thanks to DR Leela and Barb for their kind words on this subject.

I was taken to a large Hosp in Brisbane for some special scans and we were informed that there is a possible 25% chance of Cerebral Palsy with the ramaining twin, so I have been sitting on tender hooks awaiting the birth. ( and still am )

So far so good from the ultrasound though as everything looks ok and the fact that our little girl hasnt stopped moving is a good sign of a well developed brain.

About 2 months ago I noticed a couple of threads about CP and it made me feel reassured that there is a possability of having homeopathic treatment if necessary ( but lets hope not !!! )

Any way -- the next 2 weeks will be fun, I came 2 weeks early with my other children and hope that I may be lucky again this time.
I will keep everyone informed.

HI Simone!
How lovely to hear from you.
I'm glad things are progressing well after that sad episode.
But I'm sure this baby will be a healthy one. We'll keep the prayers going.

Warmly,
doctorleela

Hi Simone

SO glad you posted the update here and I can't wait to hear how things go with your little girl. So 2 weeks now? The last few weeks are the hardest, aren't they? You must be ready by now to have the little one.

I got your PM and found it very ineteresting - I will send a reply as soon as I get a minute. Thanks so much for the info.

Warmest wishes
barb

Are you in touch with a local homeopath for the birth? I hope things go OK for you and the baby but I have treated CP kids and homeopathy can help a lot. It would be best treated as soon as possible.

Ricky's right about having a homeopath there for the birth, it can make a tremendous difference--both for you and the baby!

Good luck,

Snoopy

Hi everyone, my modem ahs been down and I was not able to anwser the replys posted.
I gave birth to a beautiful little 5 pounder on the 22nd of July at 4.25 am. She is precious and so far has slept like an angel and is feeding really well.
The birth was extrememly quick. 3/4 hr from start to finish and I only just made it to the local hosp. Gave birth standing up in the emergency ward of a hosp without a birthing unit. ! I have given them something to talk about for the next few weeks Im sure.
There was a minor comp. with me. On delivering the placenta I hemorraghed and they lost my pulse and had my husband really worried. I was unconcious for a time and remember dreaming while out, but I cant remember about what.
5 days later and Im home doing house work. I bounce back pretty good, but it is an experience I wont want to have happen again.
Dr Leela and Barb, I will send digital photo's asap. Thanks for thinking of me guys.
I will email again when I have the use of 2 hands.

My dear Simone,
I was waiting with bated breath for this news.
How lovely!!! Congratulations.

I just thought if you a couple of days back and wondered if you were so occupied that you'd not emailed us the good news. Hoping everything had gone alright.
I'm glad things went smoothly in the end, and your little angel is a little beauty. Can't wait to see the photos! The boys (all 3) must be totally thrilled!

Nothing like a daughter to soften up the man! You'll see that!
Warmly,
Leela

Oh Simone,

how wonderful!! 5 pounds? A tiny one huh? She must be the most precious thing you have ever seen. Giving birth standing up huh? well - good for you. I am sorry about the problem you had and a little upset with you when you say you are doing housework - I hope you were kidding because if not I'll have to come kick your butt. Seriously - DO NOT OVER DO IT MISSY!!!! Okay?

Congrats again and give little miss a kiss from me. Can't wait to see pics.

No joke guy's -- Im a glutton for punishment and Am doing housework.
Im really fit though and know when I've hit my limit.
Matteeka is sleeping well, I had to wake her last night to feed her. Hopefully she will grow extra quick too.

I was fairly prepared for the labour ( homeopathically ) , but due to the speed of it all, I didnt have the chance or need I suppose to take anything. I did manage 2 doses of arnica 200c after the birth though.

Does anyone have any idea on what sort of effects ( other than what it is mant for ) Oxctocin has when admin in large amounts.
I must have had enough of it to last me another three babies after the hemorragh.
It's just that I have deveolped a slight head cold oveer the las t few days.
Im pretty good in the day time, but during the evening, I have a really heavy tenacious mucous in the back of my throat and posterior nares. If I can manage to get it up i feel heaps better. When I do it is thick and dark yellow, really sticky, and it causes me to cough with a tickle in the back of my throat.
I did have an appointment with my local hom last thursday, but her son broke his arm and all app were cancelled. I have taken kali mur and ferr. phos in tissue salts, but thats all so far.

To Dr Leela -- my boys are loving it. Kaya especially. He was waiting and waiting for her to be born and is so happy. He cant stop wanting to kiss her and say hello. I wonder if he'll feel the same when she is 12 months old and wanting his toys!!!!!! As for C -- well he is over he moon. Your right , nothing like a little girl to soften the man.
