Hello! Is there any homeopat with a succesful treatment of this disorder?, i would be happy too hear about yours experiens taking this cases, and
if there is some fine remedies at think about. Thanks Stig. |

It really is constitutional prescribing. I have had success with Hyos. which I know is the obvious one but the rest of the symptoms fitted as well. This 11 yr old had the disorder only mildly anyhow but it was combined with ADD.

I had one cure with a young boy using Agaricus - once again not a terribly severe case.

Hej Stig.
I expect this is a child. Check out his mentals, find out how angry he is about anything (parent(s), siblings, school, life changes etc.) even if it may be suppressed. Ask him without parents present and ask parents without him being present. Observe the general dynamics between him and parents when both are present. Think about constitutional prescribing, as well as remedies like Anacardium, Hyoscyamus, Lycopodium etc. What sort of symptoms? Jerking, gestures w. hands, making faces, verbal abuse, stuttering etc. Lycka till! |

Hello! and thanks for your help, Aziza (svensk?)Right it is a child with jerkings, started whith the eyes, and has gone down too arms, and has even
vocal tics too, the parents has nearly get divorced. Stig. |

a possible significance of the tics is in mimicking the behavior of a parent, as when someone, out of sight of the speaker, rolls their eyes to express disapproval or resentment or anger. family dynamics may reflect overly aggressive or controlling attitude on the part of parent(s), and deep inhibitions and felt helplessness in the child, in the face of this controlling influence.
observations while the family is together may help clarify the nature of some of the child's reactions - the tic at times appears to be a sarcastic mimicry of parental behavior or vocalization, brought to extremes by the frightened child in order to conceal the hostile or angry intent. I agree with bwv11 that the parents are almost certain to be a factor of some sort, even if I don't believe in the exact copying of someone you dislike, rather that the child tries to attract (negative if any) attention or act as a vent for unspoken problems in the family. So try to convince the parents to have treatment as well. It doesn't necessarily have to be with you, they can seek another homoeopath or some other form of therapy if they want, but you could use as an argument that they are so exhausted already that they need help for themselves, or that by having treatment they become better parents (no doubt they feel guilty at some level). You can use the analogy from flying emergencies, that if you have a child with you, you first put on the oxygen mask, before you put it on the child - as there's only temporary help in the child having some oxygen if you're already dead of oxygen deprivation and can't help the child survive if the plane should come safely to the ground or land on the ocean.
I also have a book in German by Dr. Friedrich P. Graf: Homöopathie und die Gesunderhaltung von Kindern und Jugendlichen, where he talks about nervous tics and Tourette. P. 756: Extremities Jerk like with electric shocks: agar, ars, colch, mag-p, nat-m, plat, ter, verat. Paul often lectures in Norway, so it could be really rewarding for you to try to get to one of his seminars on children, as it's not so far for you to go. And Stig, I'm not Swedish, but Icelandic :-D |

Oh, and one thing I forgot,
if the child has been taking medications for Tourette they might be better without them, but of course you never interfere with medication unless you are a qualified medical doctor. If they want to come off medication, ask them to request their doctor if it is appropriate and if so, to come off it the proper way. Of course you do not want to risk anyone blaming you for anything to do with medication. However, you have the option of potentizing the drugs and administering to the child. It may or may not be helpful. |
