can anyone advise on a good, comprehensive but cheap homeopathic software programme where you can enter all the symptoms and it will come up with possible remedies?? i notice that homeopathy home has such a package in its library but wondered if anyone has used it and can recommend it or any others??

I would stay away from them.

Rosanna - I agree with snoopy if you are looking for a serious software program - I noticed though that you aren't a homeopath or student so wonder if you are interested in something for treating acutes, etc. in which case the Cara may be a bit beyond what you are looking for.

I, too, think CARA gives you the biggest bang for the buck. They have a home system called Akiva. It covers the top 100 remedies and is 50 pounds - don't know the conversion to dollars. They also have CARA Light for 199 pounds.

Also, KHA has a stripped down version of Mac Reportory that was available to study groups - don't know how much it cost or if it's available to the public, but it was a really good piece of software.

better than a program, i think in somerset you have one of the best uk homoeopaths, mike bridger.
i have not met mike but i read an article by him, and heard that his ex college tutor recommends him, so he is a sensible and serious-minded practitioner.
a good homoeopath should be able to take care of your actues for you.

I will not recommend to buy costly softwares. First get comprehensive knowledge about homeopathy and then purchase some useful software according to your own need.

Snoopy misguided you about the lite versions. Some of the lite versions are free of cost. It is a good choice to use free lite version first and then purchase your software which you feel will be better for you. The person which are sitting and running in such huge organizations are not mental personalities. If they are distributing some lite versions then their must be some logic. You can contact to various homeopathic software companies and can order them for free and lite versions.

I have used so for Hompath ozone (Pannak is taliking about), Mac Repertory, Radar and Cara. Hompath ozone is avail in india. You can contact for free copy of Mac Repertory, Demo Version of Radar and Cara for window. These softwares are free of cost.

You have to bear only postal expenditures. After using the softwares. You can order your complete software.

Dr. Shahzad has an excellent point. Unless you understand homeopathy, you will get very poor results with the computer programs. It's much better to learn homeopathy without a software program and then once you get good results manually, learn how to use a program. Some of the lite versions are excellent for acutes.

We could better advise you if we knew your level of experience and what your purpose in getting the software is, i.e., what type cases do you expect to use it for.
