In the UK today was the start of Homeopathy Awareness Week. It runs from 14-21st June. There is a dedicated site www.homeopathyawareness.com which has some interesting information. Do go and look at the on-line leaflets and check where you can meet homeopaths in your area.

Today I spent in Boots and I will be in Holland and Barrett next week talking to people about homeopathy.

Are there any other members in-store this week?

Ricky, It is good news. Thanks for updating us. In Pakistan, this year has been declared as homeopathic awareness year.

We have one person in Pakistan who has the ability to organize seminars, camps and workshops on homeopathy with collaboration of other homeopaths. He has a good expert team. He is the leader of all kind of these activities. We are all supporting him. He is busy day and night in his activities with his team. Hope you have enjoyed homeopathic activities in Pakistan mentioned in our homepages quoted under our signatures.

For the life of me I cannot get into the site. I have tried on several computers to no avail. I have not had any notification from SOH about the opening (such as was conducted in London last year) - nothing.

Considering I am a member of both SOH and Friends, I am rather annoyed that I had no information about upcoming events (i.e. where and when type stuff).

The blankety-blank web site has not helped, either.

I had no problem getting into the site- sorry simone!

I did a venue last year with all the balloons, badges etc but only managed to get 1 patient from the day-it was alot of effort!

it's a good idea to do this though as it keeps Homeopathy in the news etc.

I always think it would be a great idea if the SOH did a tv advert- expensive but worth it.

11 years ago when the Osteoporosis society were trying to raise public awareness they ran one and it worked brilliantly. We were inundated with women wanting to find out what their risk of getting Osteoporosis was.

Well I think the pair of us should suggest it to the Society!! I felt as if I had an invisibility cloak on at times in Boots and also people were refusing free leaflets. The problem where I live is that people don't know what homeopathy is and that is despite managing to get my name in the local paper as often as I can! On Friday I am in Holland and Barrett!!

I know what you mean about people refusing leaflets. I once tried to give a lady a leaflet on Osteoporosis and she said 'No thanks - I've got enough health problems !!!'

Maybe I should have then given her one of my Homeopathy leaflets !?
