My friend's son, 7 months, has developed a rash on his right cheek only. The doctor called it "classic eczema" and prescribed cortizone cream. My friend does not want to use it again, so I told her that I would inquire with the experts on this board as to a homeopathic remedy. He has brown hair and eyes and is a very pleasant young guy. She gives him soy milk and organic baby food. He was breast-fed to 5 months, has no medical problems. Thanks. Kathy

Thanks, Snoopy. You're always so prompt to respond. I have only a 30c kit. Is 30c too high? Thanks. Kathy

I don't know. I always worry when people have rashes; I'm always afraid a high or medium potency will cause them to burst forth, especially if there's a history of creams used to contain it. Maybe if there's no prior suppressive treatment it would be OK.

Dear Kathy,

I looked in Murphy's Repertory:
Children, eczema. There are only 7 remedies, only 2 are emphasized; they are Psorinum and Sulphur. Why not try Sulphur 6C in water, with succussions before each dose, twice a day.

If there's an aggravation, stop the remedy; otherwise, let us know if it works.

No way would I prescribe higher than a 6 for a baby and one dose as a test dose. Things can go haywore very quickly with Sulphur and rashes especially in children!!

Angry

Surely we can't just take it that because Murphy gives weight to only 2 remedies then that is what should be given??

If only Homeopathy was that easy !!!
