You are very wise not to want to depend on medication, or a pill for the rest of your life. After all, taking thyroid or other hormones certainly is not fixing the problem at its root. And you certainly would not want to supress your natural hormonal output. Thyroid abnormalities, addison's disease, low testosterone, and other glandular problems can almost always be treated homeopathically and with other forms of therapy. Time and again, I have seen patients' hormonal levels become rebalanced over the course of treatment. Interestingly enough, sometimes hormonal health occurs when a life-change takes place. I had a female patient several years ago who was diagnosed with Epstein-Barr and also had an exceptionally high TSH level and a large goitre as well. She also had a very high level of thyroid antibodies, which made the little amount of thyroid she was producing worthless to her body. As it turned out, her husband was abusive and she felt that there was little that could be done about it. I started her on thyroid medication as well as a homeopathic remedy. Six months later she had left her husband and was beginning a new relationship. Her thyroid levels had returned to normal. I weened her off of the thyroid with no problem whatsoever. You know, Sam, the more I study your case, the more it seems that you may have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I'm sure that you realize that your problem is no case of the "blues." For you, homeopathy will be very valuable, but I'm not sure if homeopathy alone will be enough to cure you. I read that you don't have any homeopaths in your area. You may want to consider traveling to a clinic that specializes in problems such as yours. A good one is Dr. Stoff's in Arizona, though I think he just runs the operations instead of seeing patients these days. Well, let me know what you think, Sam. [ 30. I agree. Sometimes a supplementation is necessary in the short term in certain cases.
Homeopathy, if you're on the right remedy, does balance out hormonal problems and supplementation is not required over the long term. BUt I do believe in Sam's case, he is so sensitive to homeopathic remedies, he has almost an idiosyncratic sensitivity. One needs to be careful with everything including supplementation. I think he should do well and balance out with just homeoapthy. Regards, doctorleela

I agree with the eminent Dr Leela. You only change in homeopathy where there is need and not because of a theory you want to try out or because something sounds interesting or reasonable.
I'm overjoyed to hear of your improvement! Keep us up to date, Snoopy |
