I have had fibromyalgia for over 10 years, and have found very little relief. I have tried drugs and don't want to take them any longer due to the side effects. I haven't been taking any medication for several months now. Any ideas on homeopathic remedies? Also after having the flu the second week of January, I have had stomach problems, after every test out there, I was told that I have IBS. But it hasn't gone away! Nothing will relieve it. And I have gained over 20lbs! My symptoms are...
diarrhoea (all the time)
dizziness
nausea
bloating
tenderness (clothing hurts)
stomach pain high and low
I am not eating anything spicy, fat, ect. I am still trying to eat bland food and I don't drink coffee. Any help??
Thank YOU!!

Hello GEri,
You'll have to describe the symptoms with what makes you feel better or worse.
Also we like to kow more detial with regards to possible causative factors.
Then details about your personality
PErspiration distribution
Desires and aversion in food
Thermal state - cold/ hot
Any peculiar symtpoms that you have noticed.

With this , some of us could help you find a remedy.

Warm regards,
dctcorleela

Hi,
I haven't found anything that makes me feel better yet. My Fibromyalgia I am use to and can live with, it is the stomach problems. It is like I still have the flu only no fever. The last medication I was on was Bentyl three times a day and metamucil every morning. It did not help. This seemed to make it worse so I stopped. I do not have panic attacks or any traumatic event that has happened within the last 5 years.
My symptoms are worse after I eat or drink anything even water. I have found that if I drink water slowly and room temp. that it is better. The dizziness comes and goes, I have even passed out twice in the last 3 months. And I am not pregnant! All three doctors have ran pregnancy tests in the last 3 months. My stomach is upset all the time. Sometimes it feels like I am hungry and other times it feels like I drank to much water on a hot summer day. My body temp varies. Sometimes I am hot when everyone else in the house is fine and other times, mostly late afternoon and evenings I get cold. Pancakes and ice cream are the only foods I have been wanting. But haven't been eating, (to much sugar)baked chicken, rice, oatmeal, and lots of salads is what I have been eating mostly. My personality
is very out going. I make friends easy and I like people. I am a people person get along with most everyone I have met. Before Fibromyalgia I was a racquetball instructor. Now I do Photography out of my home, this way I can spend as much time with my family as I can. (my husband works shift work) The most bothersome problem I have are the diarrhoea and the bloating and the weight gain. I don't know how I can gain weight when nothing stays in my system more than a few minutes. I hope this will help you understand better. If not let me know. Thank you so very much!

There is a form that you can use to give a more complete picture. It can be found at http://www.geocities.com/homoeopathpk/Form.html

If you cut and paste it with your answers to this site, we will have a more complete picture of your case.

Hi Geri,
From the face of it, you sound like a chronic Phosphorous. The acute remedies could be Nux Vom, Ars or Puls.
You could post your entire history as Simone suggested above, adn we could be more sure.

Warm regards,
doctorleela

Hi Geri,

We'll need a little more to go on:
What change in weather affects you?
What exactly is the stress that aggravates?
What do you mean when you say you are upset?
what type of headahes do you get?
How did the miscarriages affect you and what were the causes?

Could you detail the onset of your fibromyalgia condition? The causes, sympotms and modalities at that time? Also emotional changes occuring prior to that?

COuld you detail the onset of the "flu" the causes, emoptional state and symptoms modalities occurring at that time?

Thanks,
Doctorleela

Hi,
When there is a pressure change my body becomes stiff and sore making it hard to move.
I just get stressed. Sometimes I just wake up that way. It isn't all the time, but I get upset easy and lately it has been over little thing. Like one of the girls useing the last of something and not telling me so I can replace it. Little thing that normally don't matter.
I have had migrains since I was around 10 or 12, I seem to always have some kind of headache, right now it is located in the back of my head.
The miscarriages were very upsetting. I was told when I was 18 that I would never have children. Then 2 years later I had a miscarriage and didn't know I was pregnant. I was very depressed, but my husband helped me cope and I got over it.
The second one was right after our daughter was born, I didn't know then either I just starting bleeding really bad at work. And the third one was after we decided we were not going to try anymore, I found out and later that day started bleeding. I was told to stay in bed most of the time with my daughter. And I did! I have never known for sure why I have had miscarriages, the doctors just keep saying, "At least you have one healthy child.
I have no idea what the onset of the Fibromyalgia was. Everything was going really great in our lives. We were happy. I just couldn't go to sleep. I went 13 night without sleep. One morning I got up really tired, the next morning I got up really stiff and by that evening I couldn't move. I was so sore that I couldn't lift my arms, or walk. We thought I was bitten by something, (we lived in Arizona at the time) but there was no marks. No one knew what was going on. Finally about 13 doctors later I was told it was Fibromyalgia. We still have no idea what happened.
The on set of the flu, my daughter, niece, and friend all had the flu within days of eachother, then I got it. It was a 2 day flu, not being able to hold food or water in. Vomiting and diarrhea, chills and sweats, high fever (104), dizzy...but after the two days my stomach was still cramping and my diarrhea wasn't gone. After a week of this my husband took me to the Dr. he said that my stomach was just taking longer to get over the flu, But after 3 more days my husband took me to the ER and they gave me Benytl and told me to go get the test done. Before this started I was getting ready for our daughters 14th birthday. A small family party with my parents comming from out of town. Really simple no problems. My moods change really easy right now, they didn't before. I know it is because I am so tired and I hurt. I think that is the worse part of it. I am a friendly person, I am not use to being moody.
I hope this helps.
Thank You again,
Geri
