without more detailed info, impossible to select a homoeopathic remedy.
a cranial osteopath could probably sort it out, since they work on the spinal fluid.

lemm, i would like to be able to help from here, but really there is nowhere near enough info of the kind needed for a homoeopathic prescription.
It would be the best to get a recommended local healthcare professional -homoeopath or cranial osteopath or cranio-sacral therapist - onto this case right away. it is the kind of situation that can leave a person with lasting consequences if not treated in the present, even though it will likely resolve itself as an acute situation within a few days.
all the best, Anna

Was it a spinal tap OR an epidural? If it was from an epidural would effects of anesthesia be inicated?

Barb,

Robin Murphy talks about this kind of headache after a spinal tap. I think even if it were an epidural, it's having the same effect; plus we've got a puncture wound, an injury to the spine--it's enough right there to consider Hypericum, but there's a rubric:
Headaches: Spinal, spinal injections, after-Hyp(3)
it's the only remedy. So, I would give this poor woman Hypericum as soon as possible!

According to Murphy's Repertory:
Emergency chapter, Spinal tap, pain after--
Arnica(1), Ledum(1), Hypericum(3).

This suggests that your best bet is Hypericum 30C
in water--I say in water because you may need to take it more than once, and stirring vigorously before each dose will prevent antidoting or aggravation.

Thanks snoops - that clears things for me. I was just confused when the title of post said spinal tap - but I think it must've been an epidural so I was looking into effects of anesthesia.

Where the heck did you come across that last rubric? And why didn't I find it?
