Unhappy

Hi all,

I thought that my girl, Sarah, 3 months, was just having an off day, not having a
regular nap in the afternoon, and just a bit clingy. This evening, she is sounding like
she has a sore throat, raspy, no cough, though, and a high pitched whipery type of whine,
like as if to say, 'I feel lousy, help me.'

She was restless, and clingy, no fever, a great thirst for water, no interest in nursing, her hands
are warm, and everything else seems normal. Looks like what I might call a 'cold coming on' if it
was myself.

I gave her 3 drops of Chammomilla a couple of hours ago, hoping that would help her calm.

she's sleeping now, finally at almost midnight, and I wish I could offer more symptoms to give
a picture, but she has had a great thirst all evening.

I have a small collection of remedies, from last fall when I was pregnant, and my boy had an ear infection.

Belladonna
Psorinum
Pulsatilla
Kallium Carb
Merc Sol
Bryonia
Colubrina
Sulphur
Arnica All 200ch liquid

Allium Cepa Compositum - not sure what the potency is, it doesn't say. just picked
it up from a helth food store to have on hand. pellets

Any advice on what I could give her next time she wakes, or just to let more symptoms
develope? I know this doesn't sound urgent, but if a cold is coming on, I've read about
oscillacoccinum knocking out a cold or flu at first signs. Is this something I should keep on
hand?

Yes, I will buy a 30c kit for my cupboard. Isn't it better than having all 200 ch?

Please help.

Thank you
Shauna

Hi Shauna,

You could notice things like:
When her restlessness is more?
What is she asking for to drink, something warm or cold?
What does she want to eat?
Any possible causative factor.
What is the change in mood from normal?
What is she talking about.
Tongue coating etc.

But in most kids, even my own, I've found that the consitutional does wonders when you've found out what it is.

Reg. Potencies, its good to have a kit of 30's.

Warm regards,
doctorleela

The clinginess and the thirst make me think of aconite, but, you're the one with the half-decent homeopath, right? I'd just call her and get her opinion and then go out and buy a 30C kit.

Pulsatilla is thirstless, so I ruled that out, and, hopefully the cham. worked for you, but cham. children are usually irritable, angry, crying, and can only be quieted by being carried.

Good luck,
Snoopy

Pulsatilla is thirstless where you would expect someone to be thirsty. It isn't necessarily thirstless all the time!

In any case, ringing up the homeopath is a good idea, if you find that things have become worse when she awakes. Do make a note of the symptoms as Dr.Leela has listed--they'll help you find a good remedy.

The chamomilla may have just done enough, though, if she reacted to the dose by falling asleep then sleeping peacefully. Generally, though, it is a remedy with such great sensitivity to pain that anger becomes the only suitable expression. There is some fury with the helplessness you'd see in this remedy--what you described was closer to Pulsatilla; clinging, whiny, helplessness, with no histrionics.

But, wait and see what happens when she's awake. If she feels 100%, then there's no need for any remedy. You've got some good first aid remedies handy already.

Hope she's doing fine,
Divina

Divina,

Thanks for the distinction: Puls. is thirstless when it's normal to be thirsty--I'll remember that!

Stay loose,

Shauna,
Don't rule out that she might be having her first bout of teething, even if the teeth erupt months later. Some babies don't even drool or put fists in their mouths when they are teething... Both my daughters had "cold symptoms" along with teething each time. Cham. might have helped your baby.

DR. mujahid,

You designes an excellent and comprehensive questionaire. There is always room for improvment. Pelase add separate section for different body organs.

I don't understand the meaning of gesture of love from DR.MAS. The reason is that he already uploaded different visiting cards and with different pictures along different names on the net. His card and picture on www.drmas.com is fictitious. NOw you uploaded another picture of Dr.MAS with long beared. I visited his five sites which he mentioned on different sites. All of them have different pictures and names.

Dear meena,

I don’t want to indulge myself in spurious, immaterial and extraneous discussion over Dr.Mas pictures. But to satisfy your curiosity. I am informing you that this bb has permission to you’re your name and can use any pseudonym, pen name, assumed name, nom de plume or alias. Then what is the problem of using fabricated and fictitious pictures.

Bye the way you are right. The relevant material and pictures displayed are fictitious.

Now come to the point... thanks
