I would be VERY interested if you had any Naturopathic views on this.

At the moment I am taking Chamomile tea. I have cut out tea and, of course, coffee is off the menu!

I have been looking into supplements that might be appropriate.

I would love to know your opinions!

First of all - not a Naturopath yet.

Second, I do think a cleanse would be very good idea for you - I plan on doing one within the next week or so.

I have lots of info on different ones if you are interested I will put them here.

I don't think supplementation is the way to go until you do a good cleanse as it sounds as if you aren't absorbing the nutrients anyway.

YOu know, you can be treated constitutionally with a 6c in water - Snoopy recommends this way all the time - or even by olfaction, a very gentle method (Tommi, if you see this perhaps you could comment?) Have you ever been given LM's? Did anything happen before the digestive stuff began?

Has the cham tea helped? If it hasn't you might stop that.

When will you get the results from the hospital?

Deb - didn't you have some issues with depression? I apologize if I am mistaking you for someone else. If it was you how has that been going? Has homeopathic treatment helped that?

I feel so bad for you with these awful digestive problems - it makes life so difficult.

Youkmentioned stopping wheat and diary - has that helped? There is a great diet book for digestive disorder sufferers (I'll check the name when I get a minute) but the diet is pretty strict and I am trying to work up the willpower to try it. It is based on the premis that most people with digestive issues have an upset balance of bacteria
in the digestive tract - not just the colon. The diet basically calls for the starvation of these bacteria by eliminating their food source (carbs). That is a much simplified version.

Let me know if you want me to post the colon cleanse - it can be done pretty gently.

I just saw your post on the Carc thread and want to clarify something - while on the carc you felt mentally well but it waS at this time that the digestive issues began? Have you ever in the past had digestive problems like these or is this a totally new symptom?

Hi Barb

Yes, I would like to try a colon cleanse and 'gentle'sounds good!

I am convinced that I am not absorbing nutrients properly, which just compromises my health further.

I have been given LMs and they work quite well. I would be very interested in Tommi's opinions on this, I would like to know why I am so sensitive.

Chamomile tea helps a bit but makes me sleepy.

I am hoping to get the results of the tests next Weds.

And yes life is very difficult. I really don't mind too much about the pain. I mind about the dizziness and the faintness. I mind about the way it stops me from being a normal Mum. I mean I have to ask for help with driving the children about and that affects my self esteem.

Yes, I have had problems with depression and anxiety. They are not too bad atm, but I have to work very hard at not letting all this get me down. And when I feel like this I really just want to be at home and quiet away from the madness of the world and everyone else's 'needs' and demands. Do you know what I mean?

Actually, what I would really like right now is to go away somewhere really quiet and peaceful on my own, wrap myself up in cotton wool and get well.

I also have to be on my guard against being misinterpreted atm. I am well known in my life by family, friends and acquaintances as the woman who had postnatal depression. I think they just think that this is me being anxious again. It is not the same AT ALL. WHen I am symptom free and well I feel happy, and contented and calm. When I have one of these griping abdo attacks I am restless (I can't lie still, or sit or stand or anything) and very distressed. I cannon concentrate and everyone thinks I am anxious.

I find that very distressing, it is the injustice of it all!

Back to the digestion problems!

Eliminating wheat and dairy helps in as much as if I eat wheat I have a terrible time for the next 48 hours or so. Dairy is not so bad I just get bloating and discomfort with that.

I have considered a candida diet. Have you heard of that? No fruit or sugar or mushrooms, yeast, etc. to eliminate that I might have a yeast problem.

Re carcinosin: When I went on carc. I had had digestion problems in the past but they had been in the upper GI tract, reflux etc. It had been quite bad, about 6 months before but not when I started Carc. When the diarrhoea started I felt that it was a cleansing of the digestive problems, and was quite positive that it was a healing.

So no, it wasn't completely new, but it was a new way of expressing it!

Thanks for your interest Barb, hope the info helps.

Deb

Deb,
the current picture is very suggestive of Sepia, but it's just a suggestion to put to your homoeopath.

Deb,

I should probably add, that a 6C three times a day is an average, and should be adjusted up or down until you've reached a comfort level.

If you get an aggravation, don't keep taking the remedy, stop, wait til the aggravation wears off, then take less often, or with fewer succussions.

Are you familiar with how to manage a water potency?

Check out www.chetday.com and click on the detox diet link. There is a 21 day juicing detox plan that you can download. It can be easily taylored to you needs. I have to detox rather slowly because I can't handle the headaches, etc. so I will add more foods and at least one protien source - even in the beginning.

I have a 3 day plan I will post later too.
